Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

I've been enjoying savage unlock quite a lot. Able to consistently get 65%+ parses on FFLogs as a BLM. Really looking forward to 4.4, and seeing some fresh content.

Everquest - Agnarr Server: Sunset Mode

So after putting a decent amount of time in on this, our preferred comp was War, Cleric, Chanter, Monk, Druid, Necro. We weren't able to try enough times to figure out how to get past the Warders consistently, but it was because of small errors like me messing up as the necro. The group that...

Everquest - Agnarr Server: Sunset Mode

Has anyone messed with Death Death Death much? We tried it out last night and it was real fun trying to figure out. We got about 2/3rds the way complete before we hit a wall at the Warders.

I don't know why the thought of using ctrl + letters never occurred to me. Im alright at using ctrl, it's alt that really gets me.

I use the Razer Naga Hex, because like you I find 12 buttons to be a bit clunky and fat finger stuff. I use those 6, 1-6, and RTFVB. Ive been trying to incorporate more Ctrl and alt numbers, but I'm really bad at those. For Black Mage it's been fine, they only have like 15 buttons I use on a per...

Thanks, I've been working on most of that, and I knew macros in general aren't good in this game. The only 2 exceptions I use are Aether Manipulation macros for each party member on BLM, and Shirk on the other tank.

Are you guys controller or keyboard players? How do you manage this insane amount of buttons required by some classes? I've been messing around with WAR and SCH and am having trouble finding more then 18 or 20 comfy buttons on my keyboard, and warrior seems to have 30 they need on a per-fight basis.

I've been leveling my scholar/summoner recently. . . I didn't think it was possible for a class to be more boring then BLM pre 50, but holy shit Scholar. Keep Eos in range of group, spam ruin, sprinkle in bio and miasma as needed . .yuck.

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

We had an aetherpool/exp farming group that turned into a deep run with a few friends. I was tanking despite being a very new tank and after 70 my lack of knowledge of the class and role really started to show, those mobs start to turn into mini raid bosses quick.

Black Mage does have the hidden passive of attracting every single AoE to their leylines. I swear people drop them on me on purpose.

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

I've only done o5s and o6s, with a bunch of practice pulls on o7s and I haven't had any issues so far as a BLM. Savage definitely isn't an issue, especially with some of the new movement tools they gave them in Stormblood. As far as rotation goes, BLM is pretty simple from the little I've...

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

I main a Black Mage, and for cutting edge progression like Ultimate, its really hard to learn the fight and fit black mages turrety style of play to it with all the movement. For progression they don't bring any utility to raids, such as raise like Red Mages and Summoners, or any raid buffs...

Everquest - Agnarr Server: Sunset Mode

I got a shard off a random roamer in the middle of the zone, so I would assume any Sun Reaver or Sun Revenant in the zone can drop it

Everquest - Agnarr Server: Sunset Mode

We found 3 enchanter, 2 wizard, 1 cleric to be a really good comp, with the wizards pulling. We also had an OOG bard for Mana song. If you replaced 1 of the wizards with a dedicated puller, the single wizard could easily keep up and as long as he's decently geared downtime wouldn't be too bad...

What are you listening to at the moment?

Just started listening to this local band out of Michigan recently. The lead singer sounds just like Robert Plant.

Everquest - Agnarr Server: Sunset Mode

Our biggest problem for a first week AoW would be lack of clerics I think. We only have 5 on tonight, and thats about average for us.

65 is a bit high, but we have 51 on right now for raids.

Everquest - Agnarr Server: Sunset Mode

I'm in Soulmarked, which was formerly The Warband. We're pretty casual, the discussion wasn't if we should try and race the top guilds. I think it was more a concern we lacked the right class makeup, or gear, to handle NToV/AoW right off the bat.

Everquest - Agnarr Server: Sunset Mode

That was my argument. We aren't getting in before sleeper is awake, so why would we prioritize it over NToV.

Everquest - Agnarr Server: Sunset Mode

My last question is, does anyone know how much HP AoW has, and his Max hit, with MoTM?

Everquest - Agnarr Server: Sunset Mode

I'm not denying there's good stuff, and suggesting it's skippable. . But some of my guild is suggesting we focus on getting into ST as first priority, over AoW/NToV, and I think they're insane. We only raid 3 days a week as well, and adding a 4th looks like it won't be possible, so we are...

Everquest - Agnarr Server: Sunset Mode

How highly do you guys prioritize Sleepers? It seems like unless you can get in before warders are gone it's pretty meh, but I may be missing something.
