I think I'm with you on that one. I keep playing these games, getting to max level (having a decent time doing it) and then realizing I never want to raid again and I'm just left with the feeling that I wasted a bunch of time. Also, not thrilled about the way the games are going where the end...

I probably can't comment on the most recent revisions of the game, because I haven't logged into my account since FFXIV was released. Not sure I even have beta access anymore, because I could never get a character past level 15. I really don't know what turned me off about the game so much but...

Welp, that definitely clears it up for me. I was under the impression Landmark was the therm given to early investors that recieved alpha access to EQ:Next by paying for it. Thanks for clearing that up. Does this mean Next is not in alpha at the moment, I thought it was to be released in 2014...

Seriously? Add a dungeon and two hard modes of existing dungeon and they move loot (that we've been destorying or ignoring for months) from a dungeon we've been easilly clearing to something much harder? What the fuck kind of thinking is this? I don't see any incentive to stop using coil / wp...

I think some work really needs to be added to the dungeons in terms of rewards. There's zero reason for me to run a dungeon except AK for myth, and that gets boring as SHIT when there is absolutely no chance you get anything cool from that run. Put in some random drops, better loot from bosses...

So did the servers really go down or were there just some serious lag / login issues? I've heard accounts of both. I'm just hoping that my guy is still on when I get home from work.

Apparently the JP servers got a bit congested and there was an immediate message that more servers would be brought online by next week. Sweet customer service, unless you live in the US.

Surprisingly enough I was able to get onto Bahemoth and play so far for about an hour with no issues.

They were encouraging mod-making in beta, hopefully they'll implement some of what was posted up for launch.

Completely understandable that there will be technical issues at launch, but imposing login restrictions without the ability to queue is fucking unacceptable.
