I hope Goyer and co. make this a trilogy about Superman becoming Superman. They made Superman a flawed and conflicted personality, and it's a story that's never really been fleshed out. I think I heard the word "Superman" one time in the movie. I thought they did a great job of capturing that...

Movie was awesome, I felt like I was 8 years old again. It hits every demographic, except a critic's, which is a shame. I loved it.

I'm thinking since they make an emphasis on Kal-El's "natural birth" his body might be more adept at harnessing the power of a yellow sun--whereas Zod and his army (thought it was just Faeora?) are genetically designed to be military on Krypton and maybe not as apt to harness that same power...

Cavill can act. Routh was a good Clark Kent, but he couldn't pull off Superman. I think Cavill could pull off both given the different origin. There's no way this film will be worse than Returns. So yeah, he could carry that franchise.

I appreciated Superman Returns for what it was (continuation of the Donner's). I thought Routh did well actually, considering how ill-cast he was. Cavill actually looks like he could carry a franchise with a half ass decent script though.

I'm with moonytayle--I wouldn't even say Dallas hates Romo, Texas hates Romo. I wish he would've played out his contract and gave Jones the "fuck you." If he would be in a different media market he'd be a fucking saint. Please draft some o-line now.

That's the intriguing part about Supes though, there's really no one that can compete with him. Even knowing this, he restrains himself, which makes the alien a better human than any native.

Yeah I went back and watched Super 8 to see the omglensflarez and yeah they're over the top. Still a great movie though.

Movie was great, and gotta agree with the love for Rockwell. Hard to steal the screen from Walken, but he knocked it out of the park in this.
