So once i get my desktop fixed, I was going to use a DVI to HDMI cable to run my computer through my receiver to my 60" TV to game. But then I have to figure out sound. I'd always used the soundcard on the motherboard. So any ideas how to make that work?

Yeah it's a custom rig that a friend built for me. I figured that wasn't true. I've already paid the $50 diagnostic fee (which can be applied towards whatever fixing I needed), so it's kind of annoying to walk. I might have to ask to talk to the owner of the store.
