Hey if you just want to respawn at a graveyard 5 feet away from where you died I guess that's ok too.

    SWTOR

I think I enjoyed this game during the launch not because it was a good game whatsoever, but because it was a hugely popular MMO release. A ton of old friends came out of the woodwork to play together and we progressed through the game and all the initial raid content together. It honestly...

Really? I think this is one of the cooler classic flavored mechanics in the game. It's a death penalty that is both fairly harsh (through inconvenience) and also not overly brutal with nothing of substance lost. It really makes you want to avoid death. Then when you do die, it allows you to...

I see it too. I think it's just a side effect of the game's movement prediction. Maybe it doesn't update player positions from the server as frequently as other MMOs? Might have something to do with why it runs pretty well with huge groups of players?

Chiming in to say Gilgamesh has been great. Tons of people online in the company, katya's doing a great job and absolutely hilarious server community. Shit's going to happen regardless of what server got picked. The few people calling for a reroll have got to be trolling. Some of you have...

Can the servers even have a queue? I haven't seen one yet. Or are they just limiting player concurrency through locking the character creation? Edit: Pissed someone off. Whoops.

A few solo how2play checks aren't really a bad thing as long as they are tied to your class progression. They are role specific and not just dps challenges. For example, the gladiator ones usually require you to hold aggro on multiple mobs so that they don't kill a healer npc.

Yeah, this. I liked having relatively difficult solo "can you play your class?" challenges. Just was a pain in the ass disbanding/reinviting constantly if you're leveling in a group. These developers are like a Chinese room trying to create an MMO. The video where they spent about 15 minutes...

Wow, so they nerf some of the only content in the game that is barely challenging. Because they think that players are asking to be able to party up because it's too hard. Not because, you know, it's supposed to be a MMO.

What Made EQ Great? Tell your stories to a filthy casual

Each class had unique strengths but even greater weaknesses. The world was dangerous and the game mechanics unforgiving. These things combined to demand player interaction, dependence and communication. The pace of the game allowed that communication to happen.

Just think about the amazing Storybricks interaction between the Ninja and Pirate factions. With Everquest Next's innovative dynamic NPC interaction, players can chose which faction to support and earn a Pirate Hat or Ninja Katana cosmetic skin.

Well they've already got furries and disney princesses. May as well run this shit into the ground. Vehicles are next. Why waste all that existing Planetside 2 code?

I'd like to see something very similar to Path of Exile's skill and gear system.
