Joined a 25man hc raiding guild a few weeks ago and I didn't realise I missed raiding that much (haven't raided heroics since Firelands). It's a 3 evenings a week deal and most of the members are old geezers like me so it's nice and relaxed. The fights are challenging but a lot of fun so far!

Just did the first two wings of SoO flex mode. Downed everything in 1.5 hrs, no wipes. This is just so much better than LFR. I think I'm done with that forever!

The ability cooldown reduction does not work in instanced PvP at least. I have the trinket on my Rogue and wanted to test it in BG's but none of my abilities had reduced cooldown. I'm guessing it's the same for Arena.

They trained for function mostly and not aesthetics. It's impractical to be lean and ripped when most of the work you do is endurance based such as marching and charging on the battlefield. You need a little body fat to keep going. If you're ripped, rain and cold weather will cool your body down...
