I can't speak to my later motivations, but one of the primary reason I play this game is to make some of the rehabilitation of my knee reconstruction bearable. I hate walking / running / biking, but I enjoy playing Pokemon Go. Now, when we start talking about once the weather isn't fair, there...
I enjoy the new appraisal system. It gives a nice immediate 'don't leave the app' should I keep this? Yes / No. Only two problems so far, the first being I now have a 177cp Horsea I can't transfer because it is 97%. I wouldn't have found it otherwise and would have immediately denched it...
FYI, working Android tracker pretty nice app so far. Could go for a way to disable sound notification and only leave vibrate.
PokéMesh - Real-Time Map for Pokémon GO for Android
This is still working for me post-update, however, I have noticed that the ability to scan / report accurate CP seems off. You may just need to manually type it in. HP numbers haven't had any trouble.
This is working well for me against guys I have benchmarked via MITM / pokeadvisor, etc. Now I can go back to being unhappy with the game for different reasons.
PokeAdvisor getting blocked is unfortunate. I will have to see if the mitm pogo optimizer still works. I just have some level of fundamental problem with allowing network traffic from my phone to be proxied through a random app. Seems like begging to have your identity stolen.
I keep some 85% or higher chocolate in the house for that very reason. That and I have gotten pretty decent at making protein mug brownies which are basically just egg, egg whites, protein, cocoa, and some sweetener. They can hit the spot.
It is mainly DPS. Since moves are restricted to a certain set of Pokemon you just want the highest DPS abilities available to that particular type. If they ever change the weakness / strength system based on attack / pokemon types it may be more worth while to have certain abilities based on...
I am basically not getting it to work. Even putting in no effort I still end up biking faster than 10mph. I just keep it on in for rare Pokemon and supplies. The distance I get is just an extra bonus from start / stop and hills etc.
I use a RAM mount on my bike for my phone. Use it as navigation and some such anyway. Pokemon was just up all the time. Need to bring a battery with me if I am out too long, but since I am rehabing one of my knees I can't really go more than 1 - 2 hours anyway.
I probably average 14 - 16 mph on the grocery getter. I am not talking road / tri bike speeds. Could be lag related, but my pokestops seem to load without issue etc.
The only semi-reliable way of getting tracked on a bike is slowing down. I bike to work a couple days a week, 9 miles one way, and I only get credit for around 2km on my eggs. It is better than nothing, but I would gladly take 50% of my biking at any speed vs having to walk / run.
Can't stress this enough. My wife wanted to be skinny and was eating around 1000 - 1200 calories / day. Through constant hint and suggestion she started lifting and eating 1600 - 1800 / day. She is consistently happier with her workouts, less cranky in general, not hungry, and also still...
Randomly a Snorlax just spawned outside my work on the other end of the CP spectrum, 321. Lick / Body Slam and, if I am using the calculator correctly, 90% IV. For some reason I don't think I will be able to dench enough Snorlaxes to make this worth it.
Not sure if repost, but download offline map to save data / sync time / battery.
[Suggestion] Download city map as a way to decrease data consumption : pokemongo
Just don't go 0 > 100 overnight. In terms of weight loss / exercise / diet, just do it better, consistently, over time. In my earlier years I would always start / stop because I tried to do too much at once and would cave. Once I was older and wiser I was better able to work on the wins I...
I think Eidal is referring to maximum fat loss per day being related to the amount of fat you have to lose. This was an article I had bookmarked related to the subject.
Calculating the Daily Calorie Deficit For Maximum Fat Loss | High Intensity Training by Drew Baye
Haven't done much...
Don't forget a sense of being humble and that failure is ok. Speaking directly to BJJ, getting tapped is how you learn. You have to be comfortable with losing and understanding it is part of the process making you better, not the end of the world. Also, watching teenage boys get tapped by a...
I have actually just went back to Keto for a while from flexible / IIFYM style dieting just recently. I really enjoyed carbs and the idea behind them both, yay freedom. Long term I will most likely go back to that style of diet. For whatever reason, I am mentally much stronger on Keto than I...
Various combinations of flavor (example,Flavorings & Sweeteners | Myprotein.com), Greek Yogurt, Canned Pumpkin, Cinnamon / Nutmet, Berries, etc. can also be delicious and potentially cheaper. These were a pretty big staple for me on Keto.
I haven't bothered with the Keto war being fought again, but if you did go Keto, be careful of cafeteria eggs. I do not remember specific brands, but if these are the powdered eggs made into scrambled eggs, they can have quite a few carbs for whatever reason. If they were made from whole eggs...
I drank Bulletproof coffee every day for breakfast for about 1.5 years while I did Keto. It wasn't magic, but it provided coffee and fats / protein as I mixed in some protein powder. It was easy to make and kept me full until lunch no problem. The key for me was working into it slowly and I...
Also use Myprotein. They do have a US shop. Working my way through all of the flavors now. They also have flavor drops which are good so far. I started using them in my coffee. The banana drops are my favorite so far.
They are also the Old Navy of protein so they have sales all the time.
I am going to be undergoing some ACL / MCL / PCL reconstruction in the next couple of weeks. I have never had a significant surgery in my life before. When I was in the ER they referred me to Twin Cities Orthopedics, which seems like a good place. They have taken care of me well (as far as I...
I got this with my 6p. It has been great. Doesn't add too much to the phone and the rubber ribbing is handy for helping prop the phone up against things and keeping it in place in general. My only gripe is the ribbing rubs against pants pockets, etc. when sliding in and out...
Not to keep plugging Trader Joes, but they have Cold Press Coffee Concentrate which is also great for shake making. It is kind of expensive though.

Trader Joes Unsweetened Vanilla Almond 'Beverage'. It is my go to Oatmeal / Shake / Mixing liquid. 8oz = 40 cal and has that 'more than water' flavor.

Do you happen to have the inside scoop on any brands of alcohol based cuffs? I have been able to find plenty of gravity / motorized water based cuffs. I have a follow up with the doctor tomorrow and will probably run it by him as well. Aircast seems to be the name that comes up for me...
Welp, had my initial visit with Orthopedic doctors today. My knee is basically near worst case scenario. Grade III MCL tear, fully torn ACL, maybe some meniscus damage. MRI on Sunday and follow up next week to figure out where I am headed. Most likely surgery time though.
It would seem I have experienced my first 'major' injury with my new fitness lifestyle. Rolling last night and a grown man tried to jump guard. I posted with my left leg and he was off to the side a bit too much and basically landed on the outside of my knee. I wouldn't call it an immensely...
Nothing nearly as fancy as a tripod. Generally involves my smart phone front facing camera balanced semi precariously on one of my wife's boots or a door knob.
I have been doing some self form critiques via video of some of my body weight routine and yoga. It has been very helpful, especially for Yoga. While I was well aware of some of my body weight form troubles because of left / right imbalance, there is quite a bit of room for improvement on the...
