I was shooting around 1/20 sec exposures, at ISO 800. With no tripod, I didn't risk longer exposures.

I'll take a monopod while hiking for two reasons: 1 - In case I need to use a slower shutter speed for a shot. 2 - In case I need to move a rattlesnake out of my path. This monopod extends to almost 6 feet...so more than enough to coax em off the trail. Gotta love hiking in the desert near...

Really like that church shot a lot. Was that pink lighting natural or shopped in? Been wanting to shoot some churches downtown, and would be to get anything HALF as good as this.

Does it need to be a flash? I mean, can you set up some external lighting to light the tank (from above, and the front)? I'd think any flash would create too variable a result...where external lighting would be consistent.

Thought she was kinda a stalker when she bought the house right across the street from her boyfriends grandmother. Then, when you break up from her....her next hit song will be about you, and that thing you do with your tongue. But then again, I too would hit it.
