NFL 2017-18: Watch athletes destroy their brains

Impossible to see the punch from that angle

    Marvel's The Punisher

Finished it. While I enjoyed it more than the rest of Netflix's Marvel lineup I still felt like the middle dragged on for absolutely ever. The first two episodes were really good and the final few were really good. The middle was a ton of a filler.

    Hearthstone

Was hoping you'd just shuffle the ransom into the deck. It would be hilarious trying to find out how to construct the shittiest deck to get to an 8 mana turn without being so far behind you just instantly lose to everything.

I cannot stand QP. I only either play Comp or Deathmatch.

Our automation engineers are still generally people who have just been around a while. I'm not sure if any of them hold comp sci degrees. We do try and transition some into development work if they show an aptitude.

According to glassdoor the pay difference is pretty big still. I know my company isn't like most but we get a metric fuckton of people for QA and in general most QA staff are former CS reps.

You basically just said it. It is harder to find competent developers than it is to find competent QA. Purely anecdotal but almost every person I worked with at my internship who couldn't program themselves out of a brown paper bag are now professional QA analysts or do PM work. You can train...

    Hearthstone

Can't you overlap weapons to trigger the deathrattle? I know with that warrior weapon that battlecrys and deathrattles for whirlwind if you I slap another weapon overtop it the whirlwind takes effect. -edit- Yeah on /r/HS they are talking about playing this into Medivh

I love late-generation games for consoles which are about to be scrapped. It is pretty nutty what they did with the NES/SNES/Genesis hardware towards the end of their lifespans.

We have a jira plug-in for QA called TestRail that seems to take care of that. I don't really pay too much attention to their time tracking but the QA higher-ups are really anal about it.

Thats why you should attach the bugs to the main story. Honestly I think time tracking and everything is pretty fucking worthless but if you're really concerned about it just roll up the time spent by the story + subtasks/bugs.

A smaller company probably doesn't care. If you're a small place who's product is software you are probably just looking to expand your stack as rapidly as possible, get bought out and then dump your house of cards on whatever schmuck made your founders rich. But yes writing unit tests should...

You're describing an intern. So I'd put the value at approx $20/hr.

I can't speak for Team5 and how they do their QA since I haven't really worked with them a whole ton but I can go over how we do QA here on battle.net purchasing. First, and pretty obvious, all your work you do is attached to some sort of story/bug in jira. Though not required for the most...

    Marvel's The Punisher

Only a few episodes deep and I'm enjoying this one. It is the rare Marvel-on-Netflix so far where the main character is actually interesting.

    Rimworld

Yeah this is really one of the best games out there and a shining example for what early access can and should be. I can't recommend this game enough.

The only way to escape red tape is to work at a startup that is currently not making any money so they don't care if the stack falls over. Every profitable company (bonus points if public) will have layers and layers of red tape to do anything.

Didn't The International do something like that this year with AR?

Played 2 games over lunch and it feels good. Zen feels good, Ana feels good. I didn't play Mercy but it feels like she can be played around now.

I loved Faxanadu as a kid and tried to replay it. It has not aged well.

Zenyatta is basically a carry support. He can compete for medals. Probably won't grab gold damage but can easily get gold elims if you position right to avoid deaths.

If you can't simply not have that new outfit for your waifu thats on you. For the $40-60 investment you get continued balancing, maps, heroes, match making, servers and you even get those new waifu outfits for free. If you are a gotta have em all person sure you'll probably pay but there is...

You can do some weird shit to detach and it gets super complicated to get your workspace back in order. If I do something fucked in Git I usually just nuke and checkout.

I was wondering if the Stevie cameo was trying to leave the door open for a spin-off with those two characters again

    Vice Principals

This show wasn't meant to be a realistic telling of two real people's lives in a struggle for power to become principal of a school. It was a McBride show. You kind of knew what you were getting into when his name was so attached. Like do you also complain that Eastbound doesn't accurately...

The teams here generally use Perforce. I have no actual experience with it personally. From what I understand it is good at locking down files and refusing to allow checkouts if you hold the lock.

I really liked this show. Surprised it wasn't talked about more here.

Rings of Power: Tolkien's Shambling Skinsuit

Are any of these low fantasy? I quickly googled and most seem to be high fantasy or not-fantasy. I think the appeal of GoT, at least at the start, was that magic took a backseat to politics.

I'm sure there are a thousand space cowboy IPs to choose from but I'd love it if Netflix/HBO somehow got the Firefly IP

NFL 2017-18: Watch athletes destroy their brains

I wonder how Jackson feels seeing his career prospects in the NFL slipping away while Kizer just runs his face into DTs with 10 seconds left

Rings of Power: Tolkien's Shambling Skinsuit

If you assume this is Amazon trying to find "The Next GoT" why pick such a well known setting? I think much of the appeal of GoT on HBO was many people weren't super familiar with the setting and characters. This show will only lead to disappointment.

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver

Pretty much. "Right or not" isn't the argument I'd make. The show is just repetitive and not funny. And his character doesn't have legs. Its the same shit over and over. I really enjoyed when the show started and they did investigative stuff presented in a humorous way. It quickly just...

NFL 2017-18: Watch athletes destroy their brains

Tez has lost the benefit of the doubt to even try an argument of "Oh he didn't see the guy." He saw the guy's arm. He knew what he was doing. Did they ref look like a little bitch who lost his emotions when he threw the flag and looked even doubly like a bitch who is turning tail and running...

    Overwatch

The most common onetrick is/was Mercy. The reason she was a popular one trick is because the character required no mechanical skill. She was the most popular one trick at all levels. However to actually inflate your SR gains you pretty much just had to go go for the most # of rezs in a game...

    Overwatch

I think one-tricking would be heavily discouraged if performance based SR calculation was just done away with. If you have a sub 50% winrate one tricking an off-meta hero you'll still climb because the system will still think you're a godlike symettra just because no one else player her...

I'm a bit confused. If your Infrastructure branch is your 'dev' branch why are people branching off that? Do you not have a master branch? Our branching strategy here isn't great but it is always branch off master, merge to develop, pass QA here, merge to release branch (weekly created off...
