I wasn't sure if they had added a vendor for common reagents such at bat wings, bone chips, etc.. I don't remember there being a vendor in vanilla for unlimited bat wings--but maybe it just wasn't well-known?
I was going to start up again on p99 but now I think I'll hold out for those. I think a velious capped PvP server would do very well, but is not likely. PvP is the only real engaging thing once everyone has fully geared up.
Anyone want to give me some broad brush tips for what I should do when starting? So far it's been running around finding nothing of use and getting chopped down by people with hatchets and motorcycle helmets. Still fun, but I would like to do some chopping of my own.
So I'm not sure if I would be useful on this project, but I do have some basic coding experience (Not as heavy on OOP side, but some), and I also know quite a bit about VG having followed/played it since 2005. Was a hardcore player in the top pvp guild (The only pvp guild that took down Kota!)...
Yeah, contested open-world content is something that I love, and it is increasingly rare. Azuregos and the world dragons were around for a bit in WoW, but they removed that at some point I think? I don't know, as I haven't played WoW for a couple years.
I played on Tharridon and then Sartok...
I've resorted to emulating old console games on my android phone (I bought a fancy controller that makes it actually fun). Maybe WoD will be decent and get me back.
Basically, you're Azathoth--the blind, idiot god spinning in the midst of the universe, whose wakings results in the cessation of all existence. This is what I'm reading.
Yep, Vanguard Pvp on Tharridon and Sartok was the best PVP I've ever had. The bugs were frustrating as shit, but it was still great because of the contested content.
Honestly, just give each sub-class a vital, unique buff. I don't really need perfect balance--give each class something like chanter crack, haste, CC (And split it up this time--don't give all that shit to the chanter).
I guess what I'm more speaking to is the value in shared experiences, and the fact that fragmented landscapes will lead to fragmented experiences, along server lines.
Let me say that I think it's awesome SOE is actually attempting to redeem their reputation of stagnation--that's great for gamers and for the industry. That said, I agree with utnayan that this whole fluid world model is incredibly dangerous. What if EQ lacked the multitude of consistent...
What level do I need to be to be able to do the T5 merc quest as two-box? I currently have an 86 druid and 85 ranger with 1700ish AA's, and those mobs push my shit in.
All this bitching about poor quality, money-obsessed games is absolutely valid, but Valve is the shining beacon in the darkness. Don't like CoD or all the Assassin's Creed bullshit? Support companies like Valve.
Ditto. Progressing through APW during 2008 was some of the best gaming I've ever had. My guild was the first (only) guild to kill Kotasoth on the pvp server!
You really have me on the edge of attempting something like this, but I play on an actual mac (Macbook Air), and I'm not sure it could handle 6 boxes. Hmmmm.
SOE is much slower to completely pull the plug on a game due to beefing up its whole Station Pass option. They keep a few games on life support with one server.
The 2003 PoP client is considered by many to be the Golden age of MMO gaming. If SOE were to release a Windows executable, they would need for it to provide revenue. Opening up the EQMac client to PC's is going to bring in a huge amount of players; most Rerolled.org forum-goers, for starters...
Yeah, I'm not fired up about 3 boxing to 50+. It gets tedious, and makes me wonder if I wouldn't have more fun just flying solo. As it is, I'm just going to play my SK with a cleric healbot and enchanter for buffs. If anyone wants to start grouping (or drop me some newbie gear), /friend...
Yep, Tippfat and gang are still alive and well at XKWe played Vanguard pretty hardcore, and then a bunch of shitty MMO's briefly (AoC, WAR, Rift), and now we're doing nothing.
Or we could respond to his posts and make a rebuttal. In my opinion flaming him for half a page is more in the grand tradition of FoH than you posting for half a page telling us how and what to post.
How is this listed as a con? New content is bad? "nobody to talk to about it" is a different point altogether, but new content is not bad.
You wanted the game froze at Velious, but with all the power to solo 10 year old dragons and obtain loot you never had the chance to get before, and for...
Hey I have 3 chars, level 4 cleric, sk, and enchanter, and I am looking for people to play/group with. add ismaris to friends list in-game and we can certainly group
