Rulesets are one thing, but launch dates really need to be released. If Daybreak wants to maximize their profits we need dates so people can take time off work and so forth.

I feel like all the hype over these servers is dying because Daybreak can't just drip out a bit of information at a time at least.

You don't attempt to combat it. Everyone else gets richer and wins the next drop. You also don't "win" by farming more plat because you end up sharing that with everyone else when you buy an item. Everyone gets richer and the rich whale gets the item. In practice people love it.

After all the success I've had running plat raids and some discussion about how to prevent some very obvious RMT abuses from an FV loot TLP I think a plat dkp guild is the most effective way to operate a guild on a FV loot TLP.

It was my understanding that FV has an exception to this that you have to maintain possession of the item to keep the benefit to prevent this very abuse. But I fully expect Daybreak to forget to implement that lol

I fully expect Phinny 3.0 with the hardcore server being 2 month unlocks with Coirnav exp, and the casual server being 4 month unlocks with Agnarr exp. I doubt I'll be surprised.

Most of the problems associated with no trubox have been solved with pickzones and aocs. Furthermore, there has been a sharp rise of very large box armies on Agnarr and Coirnav lately so there is obviously a working MQ out there. I think they have actually improved performance each patch, however, they also decided to give us 2x weekends. So bases just balloned zeroing out any performance improvements they have made.

My dream hardcore server: FV Loot, all classes at launch, next expansion launches 1 week after current is beat. AoCs, Trubox, and those things I don't have much opinion on, because the top guild will outpace everyone else and unlock content so fast that they will be MILES ahead anyways...

The only time I haven't just had a blast playing is raiding in laggy zones. When the game is running smoothly I'm just loving it. Sadly any large scale fleet battles, which I think would be fun af just cause the zone to slow to a crawl.

Yeah, it's super easy to get new people to you and setup. One of the things ARK, and thus ATLAS, has done right.

Leveling isn't the easist because the server is top heavy, however I have seen 50s+ groups looking for people in general chat pretty often. At the top there are more than a few options for guilds and play times. Plus a fair number of open raids.

From the video that looked like mod content. They really shouldn't have included that in a trailer and had it in a separate video with appropriate titles. Or we have tanks. Who knows!

At one point there was 200k viewers on Twitch. Pretty bad press, but if anyone played ARK they would know Wildcard is known for this. I want to play, but not getting myself hyped up over it.

If I was to hazard a guess they were doing a last minute run through on the public server and found their hosting provider to be not upto a level they wanted. Only thing that seems could be fixed in a week that would pop up a few days before a release.

I'm def playing. Lots of time in ARK and EVE. This seems to be a good mix of the two.

I'm testing the waters on Elementals. The ease of getting people in relieves a lot of the headaches I had with VT.
