Since it seems to be a magical effect I pictured that only happening if his main body could not regenerate. Like his spirit/essence etc would just go to whichever one was available rather than every one available.

The only thing that could make it make any sense is they said he could recover from a single cell. Maybe if they toss him in a volcano or the sun etc some random skin cell that sloughed off on earth or hair that fell out would then regenerate into him.

Between all the Wally talk about speed and him intersecting with the flash with that speed drainer on I really expected him to at least get it for a couple of minutes or something.

The way I saw it was he was erased from all points forward in his time line but technically the stuff that happened this episode was in HIS past as of when he vanished so it had already happened. Or some nonsense like that.

I was really hoping with Hiro not being a main character they would dump the time travel stuff because it just makes everything convoluted. The only way the time travel stuff wouldn't be bad is if they went back/forward in time and stayed there for most of the series.
