Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

Not hard at all, on our server there's still tons of people trying to form static coil groups. In terms of gear all you need is full dark light (Vanya/Darksteel) and a relic and you're good to go. Full darklight from nothing takes about 10 hours total to get doing normal runs or 3-4 hours...

The population is still thriving in the game. The raiding scene is lacking severely, although fun for what is currently available. Patch 2.1 is a little over two weeks away which will add another tier of raiding (Mid-Tier), however the content being added is intended to bridge the gap between...

Tank shield always dropped from turn 1, the white/black mage shield drops from turn 5.

The best way to do this is to sit in Mor or Wineport and fill in gaps for free company's looking for your specific job. If they/you aren't bad, its highly likely you'd be able to join them in the future. If you are unfamiliar with some of the fights and scared to look like a scrub just watch...

I'm playing quite frequently, up to turn 4 in Coil playing with a casual group of friends. I've been leveling everything slowly to 50 on the side to help keep my interest. A strong part to why I keep playing is due to the people I know in the game.

Mobs are dropping 45-60 gil per kill, one WP run netted me approximately 5k gil.

It's really to bad dungeons don't give seals, tired of the fate grinding.

You should have received an e-mail from GMG that contains an activation key when you purchased the game. It should also say: As long as you received this information above, you're fine. The page is getting hammered by everyone trying to do the same thing, there's no rush to get it registered...

Reading the beta forums, the "registered on" message doesn't mean anything. You are suppose to receive a e-mail back from square after you register your pre-order code, this second e-mail should contain an additional code with more registration information (Supposedly, I haven't been able to...

For those of you who registered a collectors edition, does it specify whether or not it was a collectors or a regular edition on your profile page? The reason I ask is because the email I received from GMG only lists the ingame rewards from the regular edition despite paying the collectors price...

I ordered from GMG yesterday and the moment I checked out I received an e-mail instantly from them that contained my pre-order code. - This was for the collectors, I don't know if its different for the regular edition.

Yea, everything was pretty much easy mode - I'm hoping the difficulty settings that come for later dungeons are a force to be reckon with. On a side note I did Copperbell Mines this weekend with a couple arcanists, I'm not quite sure how pets work in this game but the stupid Carbuncles kept...

No, you can't even register your pre-order code until August, 20th. I think he's talking about the beta codes.

The only error I encountered was some quests (like two?) were given to me in Japanese. Not that I read them anyways.

Leveled a Marauder to 20, Gladiator to 20 and a Conjurer to 15. Probably going to level a Warrior, however a Paladin sounds appealing. Ended up pre-ordering the collectors anyway. Nothing else on the horizon for at least the next year so I figured why the hell not. The game is definitely...

I'm scared itemization is going to be boring and nothing to be excited about. IE level 5 staff - 5 dmg with 2 spell damage 2 healing, level 10 staff - 6 dmg with 3 spell damage 3 healing and so on. I was excited for this game at one point but its dissipating quickly.

    EVO 2013

I'm hoping Justin takes MvC this year, I feel most people have ChrisG (Morrigan) and Champs (Dormmamu and Doom) shenanigans figured out by now. Rumor has it both of them have new characters they may be bringing out though, this might work against them. SSF4 is a little harder to figure out...

    Cubeworld

I was able to register earlier this morning, there was a brief window of opportunity where their server(s) weren't getting destroyed. Seriously though, who DoS attacks a dude and his wife doing a hobby project.

Like others have said the game hand holds you until level 15 or so at which point you get introduced to your first dungeons - pretty much all group makes up look like they'll consist of 1 healer, 1 tank and 2 dps. Got an Archer up to level 17, did two dungeons Satasha and TDD both of which were...
