    Starting Malazan Series

To be honest i find that anything after the first 4 is a sack of shit. I still read those 4 occasionally since i find them fantastic but i doubt i'll ever read the whole story in its entirety again

    Soccer 2013-2014

Arsenal really should punt out serious cash for 2 or 3 well proven top signings. Granted their self imposed financial constrictions over the last 10 years and the resulting performance is fantastic but I do really like Wenger and would rather he was challenging for 1st rather than 3/4.

    Hot transgender man thread

I'd don't understand why so many people get butthurt over pics of a cock? Its just a cock and this thread is pretty well named to give a clue to the contents. I'm don't go looking for them but it ain't gonna turn me gay or blind if I accidentally catch sight of some blokes junk in a forum post.

Fighting Fantasy, Lone Wolf & other "game books" - age & questions

Remember starting off with Steve Jacksons Warlock of Firetop Mountain about 30 years ago. Loved that gamebook and ended up with loads of them. Great fun when you're a youngster

James S.A. Corey - The Expanse

Finished the first and thought it was pretty good, once i get the other 2 i'll finish them off. Thought it was similar to Dan Worth's Progenitor series but not as good in my opinion.

    Engagement rings

It's been quite a few years since I bought my wife's but in the end I didn't spend what i would say is a lot of cash. The bling factor had no meaning to me, I just wanted to get what i thought was the ring she would like best and she is not a huge fan of very big flashy stones - although she...

    What did you just read?

Leviathan Wakes by James S. A. Corey. Was a pretty good space opera type novel and the first of a trilogy, going to get around the the next 2 as soon as they arrive. in the mean time i'm on the Sandman Slim books by Richard Kadrey. Paranormal/fantasy type setting with a bloke who, while...

Why the name change? It was better the way it was and just because some twat who doesn't like the thread whines you change it? Change it back and add a Fuckoff and die option to the poll

    Hannibal

I like this show. I really wasn't impressed with the choice of actor for the lead role when watching the pilot but I came to like him very quickly. Brad2770 is right, he managed the creepy, caring persona very well

    Star Trek - Into Darkness

There was a few things that were a bit iffy but on the whole it was very enjoyable. Khan was great, but then I always liked cumberbatch. Be nice to see him play the villan a bit more

    Star Trek - Into Darkness

Thoroughly enjoyed it, some obvious holes in the plot but they and any lens flare bothered me not a fucking jot. Was rooting for Cumberbatch though

    TV Show Cancellation/Renewal 2014

Not looking to bad for me, only 2 shows that are cancelled/under threat that i've been watching are Red Widow and Hannibal and tbh neither are in my top 10 anyway. Vikings renewed for season 2, if you want that on the list

    Spartacus

Pretty much this. Very sad to see it go but better than dribbling on and turning to shit. And who knows what may come of the Caeser series plans I did think McIntyre turned out pretty solid in the end though. He was a bit iffy to start and took a while to settle in but I was happy with his...

    E-reader or tablet

Split my time between the Kindle keyboard and an i-pad mini. I've used the kindle for a few years but recently got the ipad and i find it fantastic for reading on. Both are excellent with very few bad points and are useful in different situatuion so i'm pretty covered for all eventualities.

Been a fan of Dredd for more years than i care to remember and I thought the movie was okay, nothing special and a little disappointing. Wheel of Time series

Solid and very enjoyable end to the story i though. Some minor niggles and loose ends but plenty of fantastic scenes with the odd humerous moment and quite a few WTF bits 20+ years since i started this story and I have to say that on doing a full run through it was overall, for me, a great...

    Jack Reacher 2012-Tom Cruise.

I enjoy the books and Cruise is so fucking wrong for this part that it hurts my brain thinknig about it. It will probably be a pretty good film, as Cruise really doesn't make that much that sucks, but It will just be another generic tough guy movie, it won't even remotely capture the essence...

That would be very nice, the original Dune movie sucked balls for the main although the Dune miniseries wasn't bad. For me i think it would be David Gemmell - Drenai books, pretty much any of them but they would all probably translate to movies very well Katherine Kurtz - Deryni novels...

    Malazan Book Of The Fallen

I ended up quite disappointed with these with the exception of books 1-4 which i would put at the top of any list I ever make for sheer brilliance. After that I felt they just kind of meandered on for the sake of it for far too long, plot lines were introduced that added little to me and the...

No kids for me and my wife, we're both in our early forties and we have never had or ever will have any plans for kids. I hate them, she hates them even more which worked out well.
