All of this sounds really great, but I've yet to see a AAA title pull it off, and this is going to be a low budget, crowd funded game.

Yeah, I posted the exact same thing over there. It's no different than if you were making a movie, or opening a restaurant or whatever. Imagine trying to open a restaurant and asking everyone in the town what kind of food they wanted on the menu! Your best bet is to open the kind of restaurant...

I agree. It doesn't really matter who the game caters to, as long as it's fun people will play it. My entire point is, the worst thing a company can do is try and listen to players and ask them what they want. You'll get a thousand different opinions and it will pull the game in too many...

I was responding to someone who said no one wants to play that kind of game, and that games only exist because they need to cater to the least common denominator of players. If you agree with me, then why the fuck did you quote my post?

    Crowfall

They've been utter trash because they're poorly made games, not because no one wants to play a hard core MMO. If you make a solid game with hardcore features, you'd have a hit. Don't believe me, then you've never played Dark Souls.

You're the least common denominator that has made every MMO over the last decade shit.

    Interstellar (2014)

Incorrect. "The Shawshank Redemption" is the best example of a movie being better than the book (or novella in this case).

Can anyone name an actress that went from hot to holy shit ugly as significantly as Patricia Arquette has? I mean, I know she got older, but holy hell.

A few months? After two plus years there's absolutely nothing concrete about the game. There's nothing except concept art and conjecture. Stop being a fucking shill.

I don't know what Landmark is like. I never really hear anyone talking about it. I know it's not even close to being a full fleshed out game yet, and EQN is light years behind Landmark as far as being a playable game. There's a good chance Sony goes bankrupt before either game is ever finished.

    Oscars 2015

I want Steve Carell to win best actor and Mark Ruffalo to win best supporting. I know a lot of people may not have enjoyed the movie "Foxcatcher" because it was slow, but the acting in it was damn good.

LOL. Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. By the time this game comes out, no one will care about it anymore.
  18. E

And when exactly will that be? Thought the game was supposed to be released this year? Seems like there's a lot of validity in that article.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014)

No, the major theme in "the Hobbit" and the LOTR is that courage/heroism can come from even the least likely of people (Hobbits). Basically, the books are an allegory about WWI and WWII. That's one of the things that makes this last movie so horrible. "The Hobbit" was supposed to be about Bilbo...

In The Heart of the Sea

Based on Nathaniel Philbrick's novel "Revenge of the Whale" it's the true story that inspired Melville to write "Moby Dick." The story was amazing, and I'm really looking forward to this movie. In the Heart of the Sea - Official Teaser Trailer [HD] - YouTube

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014)

Yes, but that's more to my point in that not EVERYONE who saw the LOTR movies had read the books or knew what was going to happen. So, even more reason to not deviate from the end of TTT, when Frodo was supposedly killed. It makes a much better ending to the second movie than how they actually...

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014)

There are a fuck ton of movies where people already know what's going to happen based on a book or because it's a true story. Doesn't mean you should deviate from the source material. Think everyone knew the Titanic was going to sink, for example.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014)

Or you could just make the dragon and everything else in the movie animated, then shorten it to one good hour and a half movie that's actually watchable. Oops, they already did that in 1977. But judging by your idiotic responses, that was probably 20 years before you were born, and you...

What was the crappiest computer that could run EQ 1999-2000?

I actually kept all of the EQ boxes from the original game up until Omens of War. This is right off the back of the original EQ box: Everquest system recommendations and requirements: Required: Windows 95/98 Pentium 166+ 32 MB of RAM Direct3D or Glide compliant accelerator card w/ 4MB RAM...

He does a ton of charity work. And if PJ fucked up my father's brilliant work as much as Jackson did on "The Hobbit", I'd be pretty pissed off too.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014)

But after all that the main problem would still exist: PJ completely failed to capture the essence of what made the original Hobbit novel epic. Instead, he did everything in his power to try and tie it in to the LOTR movies; which was a huge mistake. The other big issue is all the CGI in the...

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014)

Basically, you're a fucking dip shit. John Gilbert, who did the editing for The Fellowship of the Ring (by far the best of all 6 movies) was not involved at all in the Hobbit trilogy. Nor was Jamie Selkirk, who did the editing for Return of the King, and Stephen Sinclair, who helped to write the...

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014)

I agree. What makes what PJ did to "The Hobbit" so much worse is because at least George Lucas didn't already have a wonderful story to go off of to make the prequels. He was writing it as he went along (which turned out to be horrible). PJ already had the source material, and it was an amazing...

    Star Trek - The Beyonder

I agree. Same thing with Star Wars. I feel the models used in the original trilogy look a million times better than the CGI of the prequels. Star trek 2 isn't just one of the best sci fi movies of all time, it's one of the greatest movies of all time, period.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014)

You're a fucking retard. Just because you like shit movies and Peter Jackson's balls slamming off your chin doesn't mean the rest of us have bad taste in movies. The original LOTR movies were nominated for 30 Academy Awards and won 17, including best picture. I highly doubt this shit fest of a...

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014)

Mindless CGI spectacle overpowers every aspect of Peter Jackson's concluding Tolkien adaptation; like the other installments of this lumbering trilogy, it's more tech-demo than movie. -Drew Hunt Chicago Reader I think his review is dead on.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014)

while I agree that PJ did a very good job in adapting the LOTR to the big screen (obviously, you have to cut a lot of stuff out or the movies would be really boring and be 12+ hours each), I do think PJ absolutely butchered the Hobbit book and if I were Christopher, I wouldn't want Jackson's fat...

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014)

The Tolkien family got their money. They had to take New Line Cinema to court, but they got paid. The amount I believe is court sealed. Here's a blurb about the settlement: Christopher Tolkien, one of the author's trustees, said the lawsuit was regrettable, but the estate is "glad that this...
