I have no information on how google or box office mojo derives the numbers they present. But I see no reason to use box office mojo over google. I will note Google certainly thinks their number is more important than the box office mojo number though.

My figures were the same for both movies just change the search term from ghostbusters 2016 total box office to pixels total box office.

Critic reviews are worthless unless it is from a reviewer you like. Way to many agendas being pushed by reviewers these days. Only trust the audience reviews and know that the movie will likely be somewhat worse than the audience score.
