The New 3DS has a built in 2nd stick for the camera, the old 3DS needs an addon for that capability but they have added the lock on button and software controls for the camera if you can get used to that.

MH4U has a lock-on function so it's not completely required like it was for MH3 on 3DS. The N3DS has a 2nd control stick so not needed.

Yeah Nintendo favors 60fps > 1080p, although they have managed both on some titles and this game has crazy huge environments so would be tough with Wii U's hardware.

Yeah the sidequests are just filler, just stick to the main quest. It's subjective, but most people agree it's a great game. Maybe it is boosted by the lack of good JRPGs to come out in the last decade or so, but whatever. No one makes 90s traditional JRPGs anymore.

the Pro Controller is really nice, and 80 hr battery life. I mostly use the gamepad though, I've never had a problem with it but someone with small hands might.
