Perhaps not new, but a resurgence of old concepts. Not the least of which being emergent gameplay. Give the players powerful tools (real stuns/snares/slows/FD/etc..), being careful not to put too many on one class, and let them come up with tactics to deal with mobs. Make things less tangible...

GW2+Trinity does sound awesome. Even though I wish battlefield control was more of an archtype in these games than it is. That being said, I absolutely loved GW2's mobility. It was fucking badass to go flipping/warping all over the place.

This shouldn't be read that you shouldn't upgrade your gear as you go, just that you should spend a lot of time camping the best AC augs you can get. 45AC 1300HP>42AC1000hp by a good margin, even if the AC gain is minimal.

Bard/Mage/Necro or Enc/Mage/Necro is about the strongest you'll get without doubling up on classes for a 3box.
