    Monster Hunter: World

Been leveling story mode to help friend and have been trying out non hammer weapons finally. I think I'm starting to love lance. Once I got over the lack of mobility (aside from chasing down limping monster with charge!) it makes fights so calm and safe. I built out a 100% affinity when hitting...

    Monster Hunter: World

Ah gotcha. I've read it's better optimized overall for PS4 in general too so it's gotta be better than base xbox by far =O Both enhanced versions almost look as good as what my gtx1080 puts out though so I can't complain too much.

Are you going Xbox1S to PS4, Xbox1S to PS4Pro or Xbox1X to PS4Pro? Cause the only thing I saw different between Xbox1X is that PS4Pro has better draw distance, but less stable framerates/fluidity. I do hope they add native 4k with FPS cap for Xbox down the line. I know it's the console bastard...

    Monster Hunter: World

Not reliably enough to warrant it over just swapping to a high elderseal weapon if that's your cup of tea. Palico in general has become pretty useless beyond horn buff/plunderblade at end game since the random aggro slows kill times so much.

Combat looks awkward. I wonder if controls are similar to For Honor.

Yeah I watch him too. Pretty solid player. Crowns are for largest and smallest monster size.

    Monster Hunter: World

This is my 3rd game. Most fights take me 5-10 mins tops and I only carted maybe a dozen times in the entirety of play through. Got all of the drops I needed within 2-3 kills after learning not to waste my time in multiplayer. Everything else is so easy now compared to prior that there was never...

Hit HR52. Got most of the tempered done by playing Load Screen Hunter to get investigations out of the ancient forest it's definitely break time until new/harder content. Only missing the fully research 15 monsters to get the rainbow pigment =O. Got 89 hours out of the game so it was definitely...

    Monster Hunter: World

Finally decided to finish story mode since I had nothing left to do that was unlocked. Ended up at HR42 when I killed the double juice squad. Unless these tempered elders are significantly harder I don't think I'm going to make it to HR100 at this point to finish the last gated unlock. I've...

    Monster Hunter: World

All the weapons are pretty close in power especially when you start looking at high rank speed runs, but slicing ammo itself is pretty silly in general. All my kills are from hammer except a handful I did early on with bow/gs. Nothing feels as rewarding to play for me though so it's hard to swap =O

    Monster Hunter: World

I'd say go multiplayer, but I did about 10 (only 2 successful) runs of him last night on multiplayer with at least 1 person eating the dive 2 or more times before I just said screw it and went back to solo and praying for tails from main body carve since I don't feel like swapping from hammer...

Just got back from weeks vacation and first try one shot nerg. Feels good. Palico was MVP though. Slept him 3 times and plundered 7 pieces of loot. Now to farm some gear.

    Monster Hunter: World

Yes, they regen, but not super fast. If he's legit limping and goes off to sleep then just trap and tranq twice to capture or throw some bombs down or power up your biggest moves. There isn't a rush to kill things in story/investigations unless you're in expedition mode in which case stuff will...

I believe demondrug/skins lasts until death but don't stack with canteen. Most of the pills are like less than a minute, seeds are a couple of minutes, but they stack.

    Monster Hunter: World

It's not even worth using anything other than the rock drop / draganator tbh. In the time it takes to load and move and fire the cannons I can do similar damage with my hammer even if I land all 5 shots. It's more for the novelty than anything else unless there are elder dragon fights down that...

    Monster Hunter: World

Just saw some guy who has 60+ hours progress in and was surprised to see the amount of content that unlocks. I put 250-300 hours into MH:U and definitely see that repeating now.

    Monster Hunter: World

Eh if you're relatively good at not taking damage it's not a big deal. I'm still wearing unupgraded bone armor and I'm in rotten vale, but most sets I can forge at the moment don't give as good of perks so I've been hoarding parts and spheres while I decide what to do next. Hope so! I just got...

    Monster Hunter: World

I binged until 5AM last night and finished the story up to zorah magdaros battle. Really enjoying it so far especially the much easier ingredient farming. Normally a hammer bro, but the bow is growing on me for some monsters. I hope the weapon trees are much more expansive though cause right...

    They are billions

While you are expanding you should use whatever army you have to continually push forward until you get to large populations of zombies or doomtowns. From there you can just patrol perpendicular to the swarm you need to clear and if you notice runners or too many mobs then kite back a bit until...

    They are billions

You're going to have to push waaaay out. There is practically no expansion space based on what you have so far at day 26. Assuming you're on an easier difficulty you're going to need at least 2.5-3k citizens with appropriate farms to feed them to have enough gold to have funds necessary to...

It's sad he makes it look so easy because I have been increasing in skill pretty well in my 30 hours of play, but I still don't see myself beating brutal even if I dropped 300 hours in. Ballistas are life especially as you start increasing difficulty since it's usually the only way to protect...

    They are billions

I won my first game on challenging wooo. 4.5 hours long. You don't really need to spam rangers at all. The original 4 will suffice to scout/clear and eventually kite swarms in front of ballista while you make around 20-25 snipers to just roam and clear the map and build economy. And it should...

    They are billions

You don't really need to full wall until the last couple of waves. I basically put up a little scratching post in front of ballistas and usually micro to kite large swarms with a couple of rangers. Spend your resources on economy and constantly expand.

Imagine it as a 1-4 player MMO where you basically get to fight bosses all the time. Was going to wait for PC, but with no...

    They are billions

I usually refuse to buy pre-release, but needed something to play before MH:World comes out. I finally won a round on accessible difficulty after 12 tries after losing at the end wave 2 times prior and I think it's because I had 2 doom towns that ramped up my resources early otherwise I would...

Return of Reckoning - Warhammer Online Private Server

I installed out of nostalgia. Got to L15 and called it quits. Didn't age well for me and without the dedicated group of people I played with prior it's hard to justify grinding it up again. It is practically perfect though from what I came across. Not a single bug or crash the entire time. If...

I am starting to get burn out, but am close to finishing so I guess it's good I was so thorough in my main play. My coop game with the gf is probably going to die unless we go explorer and can just blast through most of it since she doesn't care that much about side quests. Still in my top 3...

    Divinity: Original Sin 2

Warfare is multiplicative and the weapon skills are additive. Don't know why, but that's what they did. Finished Act 2. Game still good aside from the ridiculous item inflation.
