Unfortunately multi-vitamins don't really work that way. Just taking vitamins doesn't replace eating actual food and there is no evidence that in otherwise healthy individuals have improved health or lower disease rates because of them. There is asection on Wikipedia about, you can follow the...

You're kidding, right? Not encourage critical thinking? You shouldn't drink Calories because in the modern western diet (I am sure there are some exceptions) drinks with Calories in them other than regular milk are complete crap, just sugar and nothing else. And yes, sugar is bad for you so...

There is no black & white answer to this, but all evidence seems to indicate it is an extremely positive adaptation. At least until the very modern global industrial food system. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lactase...ionary_history

Milk is good for you. Whole milk tastes better and gives you more nutrients for the same price. Drinking white water is still good for you, but it is a waste of money.

Quoted for truth. If you are interested in looking like Brad Pitt a la fight club, and have to fight your genes every step of the way to get there, yea you have to get to ridiculous levels of detail. If you just want to be healthy and have a good life things are much easier; * Cook your...

Joeboo is spot on. Up until like 2 weeks ago I had been using a Core2Quad with a GTX460. And, if you want the truth of it, I could have easily waited another year or maybe even more. Everything ran, and it even all still looked pretty good. In retrospect maybe I should have, but I got a bit...

I never claimed the game was perfect, I only talk about my personal experience which is so far pretty excellent, and already more enjoyable than Shogun 2. The menus don't bother me that much (although they could be better). Armies and Recruiting function much differently (and better) than...

Ok, so apparently there is a second difficulty slider for Battle AI itself, and even in a Legendary campaign diffculty it isn't set to max (See Screenshot). I am not sure how much of a difference it makes, I will experiment with it when I get home using some skirmish battles. Hiding this is a...

The game is extremely heavily CPU bound, which is probably where your frame rate hits are coming from, not the GPU. Basically processors aren't much faster than they were 1 1/2 years ago when Shogun 2 came out (and for a lot of people not faster at all), but the game is quite a bit larger...

Pretty much. It is Shogun 2 with a lot more features, unit diversity, and a bigger map. If you like the other games you will like this one (unless you can't get used to the better UI for some reason), if you didn't you won't like this one. It's pretty simple really. So far I've found the...

That review is terrible. The province management system is a very clear step forward, and the public order system is not at all complicated. It changes over time now instead of instantly, not very hard to comprehend, and now you actually have to think ahead about public order instead of just...

What difficulty are you playing on? I started a Normal Campaign and am seeing the same issues. I am about to start one on hard difficulty to see if that changes things. A Dev played a skirmish on Youtube with an insane AI and it wiped the floor with him.

It works like Civ does, different factions are amenable to different diplomatic actions. Some like to trade more, some are more aggressive, some are easier to make peace with etc. It is explained in the prologue (I think) and all right in the diplomacy screen. Not that hard to figure...

Well, I am going to go ahead and completely disagree with everyone in this thread. I've played about 5 hours now and everything I've seen (aside from graphical fidelity) is a vast improvement over Shogun 2. AI Turn Times, Auto-Resolve Times, and especially Battle Map Load times are much...

Rome is probably my favorite historical setting of all time for games, especiallyfor Total War games. I have been really looking forward to Rome 2. Not entirely sure, I don't use it much. I think you basically order x amount of troops and it figures out the least number of turns to get them to you, and automatically figures out which cities to make them in. So if City A is 3 turns further away, it will make 2 in City B instead.

Ah. You can do that with generals rather than cities. Basically if you recruit from the generals tab it will produce that unit at the nearest valid city and then automatically send them to your general. It is a tab next to army when you click on a general. I don't think you can do that with...

Overall I really enjoyed Shogun 2, and have 100 hours played in the game. But yes, the siege and run by army issues were still a problem. I like the new style campaign map over the older one though and they just need to fix an army's zone of control. In my opinion a simple solution would be...

That is the CPU I just picked up, if you aren't going to overclock it is the way to go. Also, the Samsung 840 EVO is only $10 more but has twice the write speed of its normal 840 counterparts. Samsung EVO if you are getting an SSD, there is absolutely no other option anyone with a budget...

Cheapest option is probably a new card, more RAM might make a difference, but 4 gigs is ok for 32-bit applications. I am not familiar with that AMD chip but going by your card it is around 6 years old? In that case I'd scoop up something cheap to hold you over until you can rebuild the whole...

If you are buying a Windows OS I recommend 8, it is an overall better OS for the same price. The benefits over gaming are marginal but some of the other features are nice (such as the faster boot). There is also the issue of Microsoft not extending the newest DX features into 7 but keeping...

I was going to harass you for pirating EU, an amazing game you enjoyed thoroughly. Granted you have a legit copy now, but seriously, in the future when something like EU comes out (amazingly well done turn-based strategy which is a "dead" genre) buy the bloody game to show the developer some...

Groupthink fail. Win8 is upgraded version of 7, I have it at home and use plenty of the new features daily. I still use Win7 at work and would prefer it to be 8, but I don't prefer it enough to bother asking for the upgrade now that it is pricier. If you are buying the OS outright there is...

I've mentioned this sort of briefly before. It's actually pretty easy (physically, not necessarily psychologically) to stay away from players. You basically have to not go anywhere near them, never read anything, stay off of twitter, etc. This, of course, sucks. It is throwing out the baby...

I can't imagine not using an SSD, even if you get a tiny 64GB one for just your OS and most frequently used/slow loading games (looking at you Skyrim). Really though 120GB at least, and 256GB recommended, SSDs actually get faster as they get bigger up until ~256GB.

The situation is still basically the same as it was, both cards are good and they usually trade top place. Nvidia still seems to have better driver and software support, so I usually go with them. Intel generally makes better CPUs for gaming at the mid-high end, the i5 is a great chip...

I just bought one, no idea when it will get here though, they are back-ordered. VERY good deal. The Pros are still slightly better, and their random read/write is better, but I wouldn't really recommend them for most people over the EVOs unless money is truly no object.
