I enjoyed season 5 and 6 well enough to not end at 4. Season 7 had a few bright spots and having an ending that simply involves all key figures dying because they got through the wall makes good sense given the nature of the show. We will not discuss season 8.....

I was the same way. I got through about 2/3's of the movie and even the special effects could not hold my interest. There was a time when the special effects could over ride a shit acted/written movie. That time has passed.
