Not that big a buff. The camps go down 10 gold and up 10 with machete, and then up 20 with upgrade, but you only get the bonus gold on big monsters so if you give away red/blue it's a net loss for that camp.

I honestly think giving blue to Lucian or your mid is a definite option now that the exp is more spread between the little guys and the golem itself. It slows you down slightly but it can basically let your laner dumpster the other person, especially if you know their jungler isn't an early ganker.
