Fairly certain we will have phase 3 in may. Open beta in June/July with an August/September launch. They are following that beta roadmap to a "T" so far. Plus phase 2 is only gonna be a couple weeks long.

Pretty much if you got into phase 1, you'll get into all of them. If you wanna know what's added, google the beta roadmap. They are sticking to that.

Anyone who hates what EA has done and still plays this deserves what they get tbh. If you don't like what EA did to this game, uninstall it from your hard drive and never log in again, free or not. Stand by your principles. Otherwise, don't bitch about it.

Idk...game looks good to me. I like the art style. Features aren't all new but if they launch with all that, they'd be ahead of 95% of the games that launched on the last 5 years.

Well good for us this game will have an open beta and your characers will carry over to release according to the roadmap. This game is definitely on rails though so don't expect it to save you from wow clones. It's not a straight clone. Has its own flavor. Just gonna wait until beta 3 or open...

I think land mass matters more in a sandbox type game with little to no instancing. Only have so much space to put content otherwise before folks don't have any spots to go that aren't camped.

Keep in mind they have only showed 1 of 3 continents. There are more dungeons than were in this beta. As for the xp, those people grouped up to kill a higher level mob (solo not elite), and got shitty xp. The only elite mobs are in dungeons afaik.

Anyone forming too solid of an opinion over this beta 1 version is not getting the entire picture. IMO, beta phase 3 is where we'll see the entire picture. The Arcanist class wont even be available to play until open beta phase. I think this game still has some work to do but its definately...

I had a blast but they are really cracking down on beta leaks so that's why I've been holding back.

You're out of luck for now. But they are adding arcanists that lead to summoner advanced job as the article pointed out so there's a chance for new jobs after launch

Well pending some new amazing game coming out before this one, this looks to be my next major time sink of a game. I'm having a blast. I won't break the NDA because they're getting strict about it, but it's really like FFXI with better graphics and controls. Well the job system is anyways.

I'll give it a try once its released here. I'm not into PVP but wtf else am I gonna play? I'm bored as hell!

Laptop or desktop is fine for gaming as long as dedicated video cards remain the standard and not integrated graphics. Plain and simple, you can't expect to game without the proper hardware. Anyone expecting devs to cater gaming to any platform with no dedicated graphics ability is fooling...

Yes and no. Games like EQ2 only cared about clock speed an thus never stressed more than 1 core of a multicore CPU and barely used any of my graphics card because their engine used the CPU to process shadows etc. Newer games like Rift and AoC made more use of the graphics cards but did t have...

Actually, single player RPGs are a lot more demanding graphically. The witcher, skyrim etc push my system pretty hard so I'm guessing it wasn't wasted money after all.

Honestly, save your $$ or play a game with a proper future like WoW or Rift. This game is on the decline big time and only the most dedicated people are left. The end game is still not balanced, no risk vs reward at all. Shitty itemization. Seriously, save your $$
