The closest village to the quest area has a teleport back to the ship I'm pretty sure. There's even an npc that says something like 'HEY ASSHOLE GO BACK TO THE SHIP'

When the anniversary event was going on, I was getting like 1FPS on ultra on the big boss fights. I turned it down to minimal specs and ended up having to restart the game before it actually improved fps.

Priest dps seemed to scale really poorly when I was gearing mine. Mages scale retardedly well and do big boy dps. Neither are as fun as a ret paladin though!

The proper way to play EQ2 is to just grind mobs or use The Golden Path. Buy some plat (it's gotta be worth about as much as Zimbabwe bucks these days). Twink an SK or Paladin with mastercraft gear and just make dungeons your bitch. Otherwise just play something else.

Yeah, it's a great game to play for the single player part. The group grind isn't really worth getting into IMO, it's cool to run through all the dungeons once if you can manage a group though. They're pretty fun. After that it just turns into a badge grind though.

It's not that bad, there's a whole lot to like. You've missed the boat now though, population isn't good enough to enjoy the journey, youll be stuck solo questing which is a weak part of the game.

Long quests that you can do solo that reward a BIS loot is cool/good. Spirit Wracked Cord was an investment of time and effort not seen in these here parts in many a year, but that bitch was mighty as hell.
