I don't know why Souls and this insist on forcing at least one annoying poison level on their players, and this one was the worst of all by far. I rather liked the water level afterwards, though, but holy fuck the boss is raping me.

Yeah, that level 25 Katana got me interested, but it's more the moveset than anything. I find myself using all three stances equally. With the gama, I almost always end up just spamming low stance light attack to stunlock because it's ludicrously effective. I like the high stance well enough...

I wiped on him probably 20 times last night. Only got close three times, twice with a Katana that I'm not even specced for and once with a spear using high stance strong attacks to poke him. I'm becoming less and less enamored of Kusigamas and more keen on Katanas.

Finally killed her. Took me 15ish tries. The key insight I had was not to avoid the paralyze wave, but to dodge forward - through - it, after which I could get a few extra hits in.
