How is it a sequel?

Is hardcore mode like a new game + where you keep material/gear/levels or is it a fresh game with a higher difficulty curve?

Having the same crashing problem. Hopefully they patch it sometime this weekend while I am busy with FF7.

I wonder where part 2 will end plot wise. Especially since after Midgar the original becomes much more open.

Everytime I successfully "charm" an enemy lord into joining me it crashes my game, so I am effectively soft locked for now since I am currently besieged and have successfully charmed the leader of the massive army at my gates.

Gonna have to buy it at launch to play that Demon's Souls Remake.

I could be wrong about using them in later sieges. Siege ladders confirmed garbage. At least with normal ladders your NPCs will use two per wall.

Once you build one you can quickly right click and store it I believe so that on subsequent sieges you can just pop out a bunch of premades. I usually just deploy my army right next to the walls and climb the trusty ladders to get inside the castle in like 20 seconds anyway though.

Another new patch today. Honestly the game is very fun right now but buggy. Imo it’s the perfect sort of game to sink tons of hours into if you find yourself trapped indoors like many of us. I don’t regret buying it, but I also had a few hundred hours of Warband so I knew I’d love it.

Man they are patching this game crazy fast. Seems like every day we have a fat list of fixes and even balance changes.

Apparently there are over 200 armor/weapons items locked out because they were flagged as multi-player and it pulled them from the single player campaign accidentally. You can fix these manually or with a mod. Details here.

They did fix this in the latest patch. Much better now.

After this last patch my workshops are no longer capped at 200. My smithies are pulling in 4k and 1.7k each. Edit: Whoops, I see it in the patch notes now. Looks like it was intentional lol.

I am having this same issue. It sucks because I rely on prisoner recruitment to manage troop upkeep after frequent battles.

You can view who is warring with who in the encyclopedia but I don’t know if you can see faction relations displayed on one convenient page.

It works. Eventually you'll see the icon is a brighter color and it will work. It seems like they need to be in your party as prisoners for a certain length of time before they submit to joining you. In my experience the better they are the longer it takes.

I got hooked on arena tournaments, just did basically a world tour and gained over 120 renown from doing so many. Also gained 20k and a bunch of pretty good items in the process. 10/10 would fight in the arena again.

It's super different, even in mass combat you primarily control one person and issue commands where you can to your unit.

In a city go to the tavern district and you can sell them. Otherwise you can recruit them after they've been with you a while.

I wish I could load directly from combat so I didn't have to exit to the main menu to reload my save every time I get wrecked in battle.
