I believe ATI cards have usually performed better than Nvidia cards with Vanguard. When I was in beta, my 7900 had all kinds of trouble. Dunno if it was the drivers, game, or both.

I like Vanguard and LOTR both. Most of my friends don"t want to play Vanguard, so that means I don"t. I prefer the graphic style of Vanguard, but I"ve "seen" New Targonor and Bree. NT is much bigger but I think Bree is move "alive." Needing to zone into most inns in LOTR doesn"t make sense to...

Personally, I think it"s a no-win situation for the developers. If they try to future-proof a game and give it high-end graphics, people bitch that they can"t run it. If they give it lower specs, the players will say it looks like ass.

All you have to do is go towww.microsoft.com/directxand download the latest version. I got the same thing when I recently loaded EQ back up.
