I've got a zillion years of muscle memory from wow, so i do that in std mode like a hunter disengaging forward. Doing the same in legacy hurts my brain. That said pretty much the only reason i don't use legacy. Def switch to legacy when playing ranged classes when i remember to.

MMm no. Most (j)rpgs are ultimately about avoiding to have to spend resources as much as possible. Whethter mana, or other resources. So if you can smash shit with all auto attacks with your party thats all the better. Which weirdly translates pretty well for healers in ff14. That said...

It works fine with a controller. Takes awhile to get used to targetting quickly and you'll want a kb for chatting anyway. There's some decent youtube vids with suggestions on how to map/config things.

I think multiplayer is slated for .9. They're working on it, and seem to be making progress. But on the other hand- it's kinda whatever, I think. The ladders are in- but scuffed. I'm not sure this is going to be a multiplayer centric game. There are a lot of skills which are party oriented...
