I wish Sanderson had been able to provide exact numbers of troops involved. I know we can probably make good guesses, but relying on "hundreds of thousands" and "outnumbered 10 to 1" doesn't give it as much impact as specifics.

The half of the 9-Tails chakra that got sealed was not his "evil" half. That half is just the "spiritual" portion of chakra while the remaining "physical" half is what remained (hence why Naruto can make trees grow while in Kyuubi mode). What this means for Naruto and Kurama, remains to be seen.

But as Madara has explained - he still needs his mortal body as his current one can't be the container for the 10 Tails. I think Madara wants to execute his moon-eye plan even if he has to give up his current overpowered body.

I could either see Oro using those 4 Hokages to finish wiping out Kohona (he'd appreciate the irony) but... using them to take out his competition in the form of Tobi and Madara would also make sense. I would lean to Oro using the four Hokages to take on Tobi and Madara then turn his sights...

I agree - men got the short end when Lews Therin sealed the Dark One. In terms of attitude - it can be seen the most in Far Madding and how they treat their men (re-read Winter's Heart).

I believe balefire's time affect is what prevents the Dark One from rebirthing his followers. He stated himself that even he could not reach outside of time or something.

I also think he wanted a permanent ending. Balefire doesn't destroy the soul - I believe he can be reborn sometime in the future if he gets balefired.

After some time reading the book - it was good to have scenes with Tam al'Thor. We got to see how badass he was with the sword, and as a leader in The Last Battle.

Yeah there was a very small scene where it was noted that both seemed distant. It's there, but in all the stuff that happened in the book, not surprised it might have been glossed over.

I actually really enjoyed the scenes with Logain - you get a viewpoint of...
