Isn't pretty much every server going to have groups of guilds doing a land rush? Your friends are going to find various scarecrow towns no matter where you go.

If you're just going FTP, I'd grab the game from archeagegame.com. They have their Glyph installer which works nicely and works like the Battle.net Launcher. I missed the open beta, but I'm assuming this will keep it up to date for you and make it so you don't have to log-in every time you play...

Yeah, the arena system is one of the few times WoW remembered that hey, this is a MMO! Lets make it social! It adds a lot to the fun. I also like to use the line time to catch my breath and read up on strategies. As well as buff others / get buffs.

I installed yesterday just fine, even though the open beta was over. So I assume the bits are still there to download. However, it did suggest I install it to a "\Beta" folder, so I don't know if they're going to require everyone to reinstall or redownload things anyways. I kinda doubt it.

Yeah, I saw a shaman (I think) kill him in under a minute. He said he macro'd all his cooldowns to go off at once and just burned the shit out of him. A lot less to dodge that way....

It took me a bit to find the right rhythm, as well as figuring out exactly what works with the game. Starting out I thought I was doing it correctly, but I was actually turning too soon. Adjust how you treat the lasers until you find out what the game is wanting from you.
