Correct, right now it isreally staked ETH, but coinbase will handle converting it when the time comes.

Not just a placeholder. I turned my ETH into ETH2 on coinbase and. Its now staking at 6%. They say I cant withdraw it until ETH2.0 hits which may be 2 years but that was intention for ETH anyway.

Depends on price and i dont plan to “ride or die” but yes i plan to buy. There needs to be a simple, easy, and trustworthy crypto trading app and coinbase is setup to do it. I think their fees are way too fucking high though so i left them. If they can lower fees they could dominate.
