I mean yes? But... I wish it was different too. Lol

Mini cactpot is fairly easy to win all things considered.

YeH most of them are buyable. You can play in the inn, your apartment, or house/fc house.

The odds of you using the relic for anything serious are low- but with very few exceptions most classes are crit > dhit > x.

The fireja of heaven LS still has some folks in it, but looks like Kriptini and Jaen are the only one with invite rights. Likely easier to whip up another one for the FC

Your're still in my friends list from I assume the ISIS days, lol. Ask away or hit me up, or get an invite the cwls. Bowlocke Valeroy is the char name. I'm on relatively less now, in the lul before the expac. Just grinding away at some relics and leveling alt jobs.

All the NA servers are in cali now. Sadly for the midwest folks.

Yeah that sounds right, i kept the 4 slot on my char and the 2? on my manservants.

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

Might as well spend a couple hours knocking out the dungeons unlocks, or drop em and pick em later. Nothing worse than not having a free slot for the next msq branch.

That questline is pretty good. Weird ff7 callback crossed with Skies of Arcadia.

I think he’ll personally enjoy it, if he doesn’t bounce out before Hsw. but I have high doubts his audience will play along.

You can also just right click and glamor items. Still need the prisms.
  15. B

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

Lol that is a bit inscrutable, true. It'd take a wall of text to explain the nitty gritty- they rejiggered the system and left the old version in too. So it's a bit wonky - but just buy or craft a stack of the prisms and go to town. https://ffxiv.consolegameswiki.com/wiki/Glamours

I'm morally against goody two-shoes pallies, but they do have some great looking gear. Is the various stages of the ARR and HSW pally relics. For when you embrace the glam end game.

Someone posted a reddit thread with suggestions to spend poetics on a couple pages back, but it's really going to depend on your server.

You have to finagle the camera a bit, but it’ll select then interact with the closest interactble thing, npc, shrub whatever. If you have to actually use a second item the yeah mouse and right click- or for newer quests just click the item icon in the quest header.

That questline plants seeds that you wont see bloom for QUITE some time. But the payoff is pretty good imo. The raids are eh at this point, but decent spectacle I suppose. And a decent intro to raid mechanics- tho they'll MOSTLY be ignored. Blast shield wipes happen more often than they...

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

Mash 0 on numpad. it's the magic button for interacting basically. Or x on (ps) controller.

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

Honestly, it's silly to skip any of the cinematics in the dungeons/raids, if its your first time there. Yeaah you can watch them later in the inn, but it's really not the same.
  23. B

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

A decent amount do overall. Generally the ones that are rarer or have a bit of a grind to them. Way too many don’t unfortunately. Nanamzu mount music ftw.

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

Poetics drop from the sky once you start doing daily MSQ and Alliance duties. Old relic weapons will eat up a ton if you bother with them, as linked a few posts back, but otherwise- i'm capped for weeks at a time on them. Can't personally bother to convert them to cash most of the time. Even...

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

It takes forever to level them. Put it all into healer is probably the play. You can respec them later for a relatively pricey item. But it’s not a big deal.

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

The Hildy questline is the literal best.
  27. B

Yer unlikely to have any pain in ass mats to get, so more or less probably safe to sell. But checking the prices on the MB is generally a good sanity check. If you have something that is listed and seems to be moving at outlandish numbers- might be worth holding on to until you figure out if...

The drawing is at 8/9 server time on sat. So you likely got tickets for next week. But you can talk to the npcs and check. Or the saucer section in the main menu.
  31. B

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

That doesn't seem likely. To unlock Gold Saucer, the player must complete the It Could Happen to You questline. Players can start the quest by talking to Well-heeled Youth in Ul'dah - Steps of Nald (x9,y9). Players must have completed the Main Scenario Quest: The Gridanian Envoy, The Ul'dahn...

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

Its not actual gil. It's fake saucer money- which basically is good for mounts and glams. And i'll hate you if you actually win the grand prize.
  33. B

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

I’d spend some time unlocking the hard dungeons at least, and crystal tower. More options to queue into never hurts.
  34. B

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

Oh for sure, there are quite a few ways to fund venture tokens. Hunt trains take a bit of outside game knowledge/tools- but it's definitely an option.
  35. B

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

I basically generate all my venture tokens from GC turnins. Run dungeons -> turnin blue and green loot that doesn't look cool. Buy ventures -> send butlers to get more green and blue loot. Keep the shit that looks rad or sells well.

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

Sadly thats ARR for you. It honestly doesn't take that long to get 99, but gathering is one of the few things i like hooking up a controller for. I find mashing x on a ps controller better than mashing num 0 The later expac stuff is time consuming in a completely different way. You can buy...

    Lost Ark Online

    Nice scored one too

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

I kinda liked the ixal, it's clunky as shit cuz ARR design and that stupid glove. But I wanted the mount, and the story line ended up being pretty good. That said, yeah the xp isn't that hot. But it did the job. I basically leveled my 3 tradeskills to max with beast tribe quests. Cuz fuck...
  39. B

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

yeah everytime you unlock a new job, create a new equipment set. You can hotkey the set list or just make a icon cluster to swap jobs. Then it's just a matter of swapping to new job, equipping and saving.

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

GC crafting turnins are a stupid amount of tradeskill xp. You'll have to do some shit to unlock those, but i now have an irrational thing against leves.
