Is there any reason at all to use PDW's over carbines when playing engineer?

Some of the maps are not that big and are just crammed with vehicles. Dawnbreaker, hainan resort, the dam level all have way to many vehicles packed in for how small they are. I too feel like I'm pigeon holed into engineer unless I'm playing locker.

Here's my impressions of playing right now: Oh you're doing bad? continue to take it in the ass. Oh you're doing good? Allow me to crash the server to fix that. I'd give my left nut for them to fix these server crashes.

Just stay out of 64 player servers and go on 48 players or less. I started doing this yesterday and don't have much problem with lag or rubberbanding anymore.

Leveling up pistols is far worse than sniper rifles. The funny thing is, I find myself shooting people in the back even when I could be knifing simply because knifing someone doesn't get your guns unlocked faster lol.

What is your take on the ACE 52 CQB carbine? This is the gun I was going for to unlock and it did not disappoint. I noticed you didn't recommend it and I'm just wondering why. I know it has a lower rate of fire but the power it's packing is nice.

These server crashes are rage inducing.

Yes I've found anything below 48 players is fine for server performance. Those 64 player servers all lag and rubberband like hell. I can't help but wonder if it's all the people VPN'ing from other countries though. Had one game where pretty much half the people on the server had around a 200...

Counter knifing is the greatest addition ever simply because of the rage you know you just induced every time you do it.

Well the beta map was better than every conquest map in BF3 so I have hope.

I'm just happy all these preview guys are talking about how great all the maps are. That was my biggest problem with battlefield 3. None of the stock BF3 maps really clicked with me like the bad company 2 maps did. They were just boring and forgettable.

After watching videos of the maps they really have a bad company 2 vibe to them and are totally different from what was in BF3.
