I would really advise against playing 1e at this point. Even if your group is math people who love customizing characters and synergizing, there's still plenty of that in 2e, and it's a much better system. But if you're really dead-set on doing 1e, the best adventure paths are: Rise of the...

    Disney's Lorcana (trading card game)

It matters because all forms of removal for this card are either at least as efficient or more efficient than playing the card itself. If Belle cost 3, this would be a different conversation entirely, but at 5 cost, it's backbreaking.

    Disney's Lorcana (trading card game)

I haven't really been seeing the power creep tbh. People are pointing out the new Belle but I don't think it's that good. Here's what I wrote in another conversation: Belle dies to literally anything and coming out at 5 means it's either the end of the game or you've already lost because...

    The D&D thread

I don't think it's combative, you're letting the dice determine the results. I think it's more "combative" when everyone is metagaming low rolls on searches and knowledge checks.

    The D&D thread

This is baked into the rules of Pathfinder 2e: for checks where success/failure wouldn't be immediately apparent, we use "secret" checks where the GM rolls the d20 and then applies your character's modifiers. This can be really fun for knowledge cheks, because a critical failure grants incorrect...

    Flesh and Blood

I don't think the Banneret promos are particularly "dank." Maybe the Levia Redeemed mat will sell. James White wasn't there because NZ had their nats the same weekend but Francesca Volante (director of organized play for NA) was there and we chatted with her a bit, trying to get a ProQuest.

    Flesh and Blood

Went 0-3 drop in the PTI event, 5-0 in a commoner side event, and 3-4 drop in the Calling. All with Iyslander. I just don't practice this game enough to be able to compete at a high level, sadly. It also looks like Iyslander might LL this season. If that happens, I'll need a new hero... and...

    Disney's Lorcana (trading card game)

This is what I've been thinking about building. In testing it does extremely well into aggro and pretty well into midrange but is about 50/50 into control. I might make some changes to help it into that matchup since it seems like Ruby/Amethyst is the deck to beat, but for now I'm gonna be...

    Disney's Lorcana (trading card game)

I did. $250 is too low for the volume I wanted to move. Cost of shipping + time spent packing wasn't a better value proposition than just putting in more OT at my day jobs. $250 is above MSRP but that's hardly "scalper prices." I was expecting at least $350 per box, with ideally $500+.

They've announced it on Discord as of 5 minutes after your post, though there are a lot of issues going on with the integration. I think the reason why they were waiting to announce it is because they were waiting to see if they got it approved in their home country of Korea, but the ratings...

    Disney's Lorcana (trading card game)

64 boxes in wave one is impressive. I don't know the exact wave two allocation but my LGS told me that they received their wave two allocation and confirmed they would be able to fulfill my preorder of two master cases, as well as my friend's who also ordered two master cases. ...but...

    Disney's Lorcana (trading card game)

Are people really going to pay scalper prices for boxes when there's no official play this year and the supply issue will be solved in a month and a half? I don't see it happening.
  19. Kriptini

    Disney's Lorcana (trading card game)

There's no "flipping," prices are barely over MSRP. At Gen Con you could by boxes from "scalpers" for 200. The singles market is already way below expected value. Maybe prices go up when we have the actual release and people realize that LGSes got boned when it comes to actual allocation but the...

I ended up taking Uzuri to Skirmish but my 75% winrate on Talishar did not convert into a win at Skirmish. I lost to a Kano because I didn't have the sideboard space for Oasis and I lost to a Rhinar because he got the nuts and made it a total non-game. Oh well, time to grind CC to get ready for...

    Archeage

Yeah Hasla weapons at launch was weird. The area was essentially a no-go zone during neutral/war time (zerging prevented any significant amount of farming, even if you were winning fights), and during peace time, people were stealing mobs from each other and it really wasn't fun. Obsidian gear...

Yeah, Mercury is offering to give me $100,000 of dwelling coverage with a 15% deductible for a much more reasonable annual price (I believe this is CEA). I'm considering that just so I have something in case a once-in-a-couple-of-decades earthquake occurs that damages part of my house.

Embers Adrift is now buy-to-play, with an optional subscription for character slots, bank space, and some convenience stuff: They also introduced a feature in March that expands the level range at which players can group. I'm definitely going to make time to try out all the new stuff.

The Authoritative Final Fantasy & Bravely Default thread

The vampire stuff in BD was optional content I believe, that's why it might have seemed odd toward the end. There are sidequests that expand upon it further in BS.

It's a little weeby but still very good. The character relationships become much more clearly defined (I'd argue that their ambiguity in the first game is more stereotypical "weeby".)

The Authoritative Final Fantasy & Bravely Default thread

BD is very good, Bravely Second is a masterpiece of the genre IMO. You do need to play Bravely Default first though or else you'll miss a lot of the story connections that make it so good. I think DQ9 is very good if you do multiplayer, but as a single player game I think it's just okay.
