So you can kinda see the progression. The gold/brown which has very good coverage, brighter gold/yellow, really yellow, then almost white yellow. It's pretty much just giving some variation and makes it look richer. You don't need the exact colors but it's Vallejo Scrufulous Brown, Gold...

I don't like to hate on Army Painter because I've honestly only tried one of their paints, but it's very thin in general. For the Yellow I highly recommend Vallejo Scrufulous brown! It's an almost orangy yellow, and a really good base color to work up from. I'll take a picture of what I used.

Combo breaker. I wanted a quick paint of something different after all the Ultramarines.

The belly robe has grown on me. I definitely appreciate they go for the Roman aesthetic, sometimes it's better than others but generally I like it!

This is just a base coat but I am getting better at faces. Not great, but definitely better. I think once I spend a bit more time on this guy he'll look pretty good. Even at this point he looks solid from tabletop distance. The GW sculpts do help a lot.

Yeah that's a very good point. Usually the party screws up on encounters with multiple enemies. They don't focus them down, spread out, or clump up for an AoE. I typically keep a few lower level monsters in my back pocket to throw in if they are steamrolling. He will take off flying and...

Just using this post to kind of think out loud.... how do people here judge an encounter? Is a CR 9 for a party of 5 level 6 players a good challenge? Running Descent Into Avernus and my party has been smashing everything. They are newly level 6. Five characters: Wiz, Warlock, Paladin...

Yeah you can still spray with the .2 for sure. It widens out enough to get some good coverage.

Not too much painting today. A bit more progress on the Death Guard, and lined up some recent work to get a few pictures.

That Tank is awesome. I ordered a couple of models myself to give them a try. I'm guessing there is a lot of overlap with miniature painting Games Workshop stuff. My current work in progress is this guy, I have not decided what the sword will be yet. NMM, TMM, Just paint it metallic steel...

Yeah that tank is fantastic. It's weird i see a ton of mini painting content out there, mostly Warhammer, and not a lot of model stuff. Maybe I'm just not really looking too hard though to be fair I'm still 100% invested in mini painting. Might move on to busts or larger scale, but we will see.

If anyone knows any good resources for models I'd be interested. Youtubers or forums or whatever. More looking for the beginner stuff, any type of model. Planes, cars, ships, tanks... whatever.

Yah thanks man, it's a little bit of both. It's true metallic paint, and I also highlighted and shaded it a bit.

Latest I've been painting. I'm in a little bit of a lull so I'm just doing very casual but fun painting. Not trying to get them too high level, more just relaxing. I like the bases on these guys.

I get on a zoom call with Andy Wardle each month so he can help me improve. I really wish I could go to one of the Cult of Paint in person workshops. Hopefully if and when covid settles down they will start doing them again.

Citadel and Vallejo for the most part. I'm starting to convert over to more Tamiya for the airbrush. I have a fair amount of Scale 75 paints now too, but most of my go to paints are Citadel or Vallejo.

Yeah for spitting a couple of things, a lot of people recommend keeping the air flowing a bit after the paint stops. So push down for air, pull back for paint, reset to forward but still pushing down for air to get everything out... then release. Stops the spit in the beginning. Other thing...
