I spent around 3k to upgrade my "old" 1080p Onkyo 7.2 receiver to a 4k Atmos Anthem processor and I have to say, even on a 10' wide screen, the 1080p looked awesome. Yes the 4k HDR is sharper but is it worth thousands of dollars more? Not really.

Movie was excellent. It was all of our first time in a M4DX showing. I think they should have had more product merch for the showing. The theater could have had exsanguinated Harkonnen cocktails, etc. $$$

I've seen BoB many times but The Pacific only the one time when it first came out. Just started re-watching it, 3 episodes in so far and it is much better the second time around. I think when it came out in 2010 it was too close in my mind and I was directly comparing it to Band of Brothers...

Fair enough but IMO they were still too damn close to a four mile wide fireball. I think the shockwave would have wrecked the lawn chairs.

Four episodes down and not much has happened yet. They did lay a timeline, but I'm not sure that should take four full episodes. I did LOL at the nuclear blast about a quarter mile away from all the navy guys and scientists sitting on lawn chairs watching it.

More people need to be talking about Blue Eye Samurai. Well written, violent, beautiful animation. Legitimate "strong female characters." Kathleen Kennedy and her team need to watch this.
