Rogue is still in the game. You can recruit a familiar that has the class or you are able to (allegedly) obtain the classmark in a shop later in the game.

Gaffgarion fight can be a big chokepoint as well because even though you have other units on the map, none of them can reach Ramza and Gaffgarion. I don't think there's a save right before that battle, though.

Yeah I don't see Spirit staying at a high price, but I do think it's a very good card and a properly played Boltyn is a real deck in CC (albeit with several bad matchups).

I'm only a handful of battles into Tactics Ogre Reborn and it is just mind-blowing how much better this game is than FFT in both story and gameplay. I don't know how much was changed from the original Ogre but I can hardly believe that FFT came after this game because FFT just does everything worse.

Yeah I find voice communication is pretty necessary for CC classes. That or you need to type really fast and hope people are paying attention.

Both are instrumental in groups because they stop you from getting wiped by a bad pull or adds. I think the game needs more Marshalls (because they can tank as well) but either class is a great choice.

A word of warning: don't try to run ember vein dungeons with scrubs. You might be able to get your bag back but the brain cell losses are permanent.

I should get on that. I'm 15 and XP sources in Northreach have really dried up. I've noticed that overall, grinding outside of dungeons seems to be faster XP than grinding inside of dungeons. Mob density is too spread out inside of dungeons and ^^^ don't give enough additional XP over ^^ mobs...

I summoned every single poundmate I had access to for that fight and also kept a musician on full-time defense buffing duty and it still wasn't enough. I know I could beat them if I went and grinded the 10 level difference for higher stats, I just don't want to do that.

Class diversity seems fine, it's not super impressive but the 9 specializations all feel distinct without being too niche. Yeah it's low range but that's fine because as a healer I need to be in range of my tank to heal him anyways. The thing packs some serious punch for its level.

Camped the ancient bear for about two hours today. Finally killed it and got an insane crossbow for completing the quest! The ancient bear itself has no drops so there's no reason to kill it if you're not on the quest.
