I was surprised, and then immediately wondered why I was surprised, because obviously that was what was going to happen ;p This was pretty fun overall. It didn't end up having any actors on the par with the boys, but it was consistently entertaining.

    Blue Beetle (2023)

This was so bad. It's almost painfully generic, made up entirely of poor imitations of scenes from other, better, movies. Its only spark of originality is the gratingly overdone performance of the family that makes them into a bunch of caricatures.

Baldur's Gate 3 by Larian Games

Mechanically, combat is relatively similar to D:OS2, but the combat is not why it's getting overwhelmingly positive reviews. It's more the extraordinary attention to detail in like, everything. If you chant 'la-la-la can't hear you', while slamming on the skip key as you run from encounter to...

Pluto seems pretty good, if kind of slow ( only 3 ep in, will reserve judgement on that for finish ). Having competent dual audio is kind of interesting - I generally prefer the JP audio, but in this one almost none of the characters are japanese, and not a single one of the japanese voice...

    Billions

It was fun, but nothing at all made any sense about their big 'gotcha', or even the season as whole really. Think about it - Prince acquires Axe capital in a hostile takeover to spite Axelrod, and then immediately puts all of his own money into their main fund to be run by dubiously ethical...

    Bodies

I thought this was ok, but kind of stumbled on the last episode. There's also a huge continuity problem in the first episode that I assumed was time travel related somehow, but appears not to be. ( She finds the body while on duty in full gear, but by the time her boss gets there she is in...

    Starfield - Fallout fallout that isn't ES6

I figure it's like someone rating McDonalds 5/10 after going over 100 times - 'would not recommend, but at least it's affordable and open at 3am'. I agree that life's too short to spend 270 hours playing a 5/10 but there's plenty of reasons people would do so.

The Fall of the House of Usher

Finished this up. The plot was mostly non-existent, it was kind of like a tv series of Final Destination. I still liked it though, mostly on strong performances from actors - particularly from Bruce Greenwood as Roderick and Mark Hamil as the family lawyer. I'd never have guessed that Hamil...

    Industrial Annihilation

I wonder how much overlap there is between the fans of total annihilation and the fans of dyson sphere program? It'll be tricky to strike a balance between the combat being an aggravating annoyance for your base building shenanigans and vice versa.

Check disk space - the only crashes I have had with it were due to being low on space on system drive, clearing space fixed it 100%. I guess it has fairly large temp file requirements.

    Wheel of Time

Goddammit, why did I watch this ? Now I want to rant like a basement dwelling neckbeard. Sigh. On that note, I would like to suggest that Ishamael would bitchslap Egwene so hard that her grandparents would spontaneously cease to have ever existed. This should be as one-sided as Mike Tyson vs...

    Starfield - Fallout fallout that isn't ES6

On the one hand, it's worse than that, because you only need to kill like 20 guys per run, and the basic cutter is more than capable in this respect ( with max lasers it's actually probably better than 99.9% of weapon loot anyway ). On the other hand, I kind of had fun with the self imposed...

    Starfield - Fallout fallout that isn't ES6

This makes me glad I am playing cyberpunk at the moment, they were already insufferably long, even if you just count the bit that blacks out the screen, and not the further loading it does afterwards ( most obvious when you reload then jetpack off toward your destination, promptly falling...

    Web Serials

I actually skipped spiteful healer when it first showed up because I assumed from the title and cover that it was going to be edgelord trash. I checked it out on your recommendation and it's actually kind of the opposite, the 'spiteful' is being used pretty ironically here. Starts a bit slow...

If you haven't read the books and don't start ranting about SJW at the drop of hat, it's probably fine. With no context, stuff like Min being a middle-aged alcoholic darkfriend is probably less triggering ;p

After watching 2 and 3, I think it's actually pretty good. It's still like a CW teen show given the sensibilities of 'The Boys'.

First ep seemed fine. I'm interested enough to watch more, even if I didn't feel like watching it immediately. That was a pretty fucked up sex scene, I guess anything goes these days if the woman is fully clothed ;p The main characters are strong black depressed cutter, gay black kid, super...

The Continental: From the World of John Wick

This started strong with the opening sequence - but then for some reason they went into 45 minutes of character development. Budget Lance Reddick is at least trying, even if he isn't succeeding. Budget Ian McShane on the other hand... him and Mel Gibson combined are still only half as good as...

    Starfield - Fallout fallout that isn't ES6

Number 2 is suuuuuuuch bullshit, especially given they seem to think you are going to want to do that 24 times every NG+ playthrough. I got a mod that activates the gate with one light pickup, but even that was insufferable, I ended up just giving myself the upgrades via console for ng6-10...

    Starfield - Fallout fallout that isn't ES6

I see that a lot, but I don't think it actually is procedurally generated in any meaningful sense of the word. The locations, as far as I can tell, are exactly the same every time. If you have seen one abandoned cryolab, you have seen every abandoned cryolab. The planets also aren't generated...

    Starfield - Fallout fallout that isn't ES6

Yeah, New Atlantis has housing for like 100 people, I assume everyone else lives on floor 500,000 of the apartment building or something ;p Having an actual sized city would be pretty tedious to get around in, but there's probably some middle ground between that and 'fits in my backyard'.

    Foundation

You know, I was thinking this was pretty accurate, and how much they butchered the story and realized that this one is actually backwards from the the normal adaptation where the shit they completely made up is pretty good and when they try to tie it to the actual story it kind of sucks. So...

IMO mountain pass is act 1, just because when you go through it you end up in the same place that going through the underdark does. Decided to push through to NG+ - so... many... bugs.... and people called bg3 act3 unpolished geez. Who doesn't love spending hours running around in circles trying to find a key before giving up and checking google - 'oh yeah, sometimes that key doesn't spawn, change difficulty, quicksave...

Eh, both are true sort of. If you focus solely on any particular aspect of the game, it's not that deep - like if you just run between points of interest on planets, you will probably get bored after a few hours because they all repeat very similar things over and over. On the other hand, if...

Sintee, the youtuber, soloed tactician as a solo sorcadin. Did a few boss fight and build videos on it. The portal fight may be dead easy on what solo class you have and what scrolls you find - a single plant growth prevents all melee from reaching it before the timer is up, leaving you just...

Another random PSA - you need to charge up nova rifles by holding down fire for a second or so before you fire them. I was wondering why they were such garbage ;p Using them charged is enough to knock out normal mobs in one hit, and while elites take a few, the knockout damage doesn't appear...
