Iirc, only hybrid exp is shared, and even then it doesnt work like most people think it does. If he has 40% penalty it doesn't mean the group equally shares 40%. There's a lengthy breakdown on p99 forums somewhere but I can be arsed to go hunting on my cellphone.

People really over estimate the amount they lose with a hybrid in the group. Don't recall the numbers but its rather small, like 4% per player.

I have no hard data but FV during PoP-LDoN-GoD couldn't have had much more than 1.5k on at once. Everyone mostly knew of each other on that server and the community felt pretty small. Also, I was in a raiding alliance and out of 150 or so players we only had 2 boxers.

Just a correction; having SATAIII vs SATAII will only benefit you in large file transfers to another drive. I have a Samsung 840 Pro and it performs just as well in benchmarks in every area except large transfers, as compared to an X79 build.

So the latest hi res texture pack they put out maxes out my 1.2gb of vid memory. The previous patch only pushed me to about 900mb. I just bought a new vid card last year. This is balls I say!

All I can say is that it's a rumor. Important thing is to keep in mind that nobody's character would be wiped if they go through with it. Also, as mentioned at SOE Live this year content delivery for EQ might change to larger patches instead of expansions. Content would be released freely but...

Just a heads up, rumor is Test will be consolidated into live servers sometime this year. They will allow transfers off to live realms.

I was in a progression guild, <Unintended Consequences>, around '07-'08 on Test actually.

Mercs no longer cost 10,000's of gold to hire at high levels.

If on live server you can mount up in Arena and cast on your pet. For melee you can duel another toons pet for melee skills. On test server there are dummy NPC's in arena you can do the same for. I use software called AutoMacroRecorder to record mouse clicks for afk skill training.

You sound like you just want it easy and handed to you. EQ will not fill that role now or ever. If you do not have friends in EQ then there is no place for you, and we all know 6 boxers don't have friends.

I have full faith that if SOE shook up Test they would allow transfers off. They did it about a year ago actually.
