It looks like the NFL succeeded in one goal - to get people to talk about football during down times between games.
Let's reverse it and Detroit won. How much discussion would be raging that Donkey Kong was suspended for one game but the same judge (??? - not sure) that said "No!" said...
The way this game has unfolded, if Dallas did not score a touchdown, then I'm pretty sure a yellow hanky would have been flying.
"Penalty - Detroit's head coach being too robotic - automatic first down."
A while back, I mentioned how someone I work with mentioned how the Super Bowl is rigged and the referees are the means to get certain teams there. This year is supposed to be Dallas versus Denver.
And then there is that recalled penalty with Detroit having momentum.
*shrugs*
Ahhh, did not know he was banned. I remember reading about his lack of accepting the avatar for the bet, but did not know the conclusion.
Different note - nope, even with McDonald's, you will not bring a Chicago and Cheese Head fan together!
Never understand that mentality (and seen it throughout the year) - team needs x yards for a first down so throw the ball y yards behind x and hope the receiver makes up the rest of the yards needed...
Since I had to work yesterday and missed both games, were either game worth watching from a "good" football game standpoint? That is, catch-up on one or both?
Since I am a bit late to the party (and not really good at these), this weekend I will go with all the home teams - which I know will not work out...
From the few games I have seen of the teams involved: Pittsburgh without Bell appears to make them one dimensional; Cincinnati appears to be...
Matt Forte broke the record for receptions by a running back with 102.
Fucking typical - Bears need x yards for a first down so Jerk Face dumps a short pass again, expecting the receiver to gain the missing yards...
Last place in the North - congrats Bears!!!
Good thing today is the last game of the year for these Bears - I don't think Jerk Face (Catler) can throw the ball beyond five yards no matter how many yards are needed.
