I love that moon staff that's awesome. Speaking of fun mini's, I'm gonna get some stuff from crooked dice I think. I saw someone painting Slythe from Thundercats. Then again might still do that LotR set that Sorastro did. Or a Storm Trooper. Or a Space Marine. Fuck this hobby is kinda crazy.

Believe it or not, I'm getting better at painting. I'm a bit impatient still but I'm getting better. Here is number 7! Female Ranger. She even has pupils in her eyes.

Yup I think I was over thinning. Here is a WIP of my newest one. I re-did just her face (and that brown sash) in lightly thinned Vallejo Flat Brown and lightly thinned Reaper Fair Skin. You can see how much smoother her face looks in this while her armor is all blotchy and runny:

I went and tried some specific flesh shade, thinned it out more than usual and I think it helped with my latest attempt. We will see!

Ok well, number 6 is done! She looks good at a distance but up close it's clumpy or a bit dry. I'm struggling with smooth, creamy textures. Both skin tones and clothes. Maybe thinner paint? Maybe a glaze at the end? In any case here she is!

My painting table is coming along nicely. I'm working on #6 but she needs some work hah. Her hair looks great, but I have trouble still with skin and making it smooth and even. Wet Palette is here! Also new brushes, and a Windsor Newton is on the way.

Ok my second mini is complete. Not amazing but better than the first! I feel like I got a good amount of experience with this one. I screwed up a lot but I did 2 base coats, a wash, and then dry brushing. I may have dinged level 2.

I got myself an inexpensive desk, a magnifying lamp, some more paints, and a $20.00 paint brush set. I'm ready to rock.

I have officially begun. It's not much but I did a wash on my skeleton. This had zero details beforehand. Now you can clearly see the bones and eye sockets. It's a start. Edit, and after phase 1, he's kinda base coated!

That was a really good video. I'm also watching some Miniac ones which I like a lot. I'll probably start tonight on a simple skeleton that came with the beginner paint set. Then move on to more figures and get some reps in.
