Nah. It wasn't WoM. But as you know once the Blizz exec saw EQN at E3 they immediately killed the Titan project. So the old project is gone and the new project is World of Minecraft. At least that's my guess. I still want to know how the hell that exec saw EQN at E3 when the rest of us got...

Rift was full of tired and/or gimmicky mechanics. It was obvious in beta, so I saw no need to play the game. I'm not a huge Hartsman fan. I gather he did good stuff on EQ2, but Rift did not/does not impress.

I suspect they're (SB & SOE) are trying to put in old-style AD&D combat where the DM ran the Dragon/Orcs intelligently. Healing was pretty limited back in the day and it was heavily positional. We'll see how well that works.
