1982 Tron vs 2010 Tron thread

The main problem I had with Tron: Legacy was the central character, he just wasn't that likeable. I really enjoyed the movie otherwise. Stylistically it was perfect and you add Daft Punk to that and you're on to a winner. And, well, Jeff Bridges dude!

Kingdom of Amalur: Re-Reckoning remaster releasing soon

Is this coming to the PS4? The pre-order on Amazon UK is showing it as unavailable despite the Xbox / PC being open to pre-order.

    Black Widow (2020)

You're thinking of the Red Guardian. No superpowers though, just a fancy suit.

    Black Widow (2020)

No, but that's generally because I consider Batman to exist in a universe where his main opponents are generally devoid of superpowers as well, or are fairly supervillian-lite. Appreciate when you consider him in the JLA universe though he suffers in the same way as Black Widow and Hawkeye and...

    Black Widow (2020)

I accept all that but I've watched a bunch of stand alone movies like Hitman and enjoyed the hell out of them, probably will do with this, but I still have that thing about it being a lacklustre character. And a dead one at that. I mean, this movie should have come before she was snuffed out...

    Black Widow (2020)

I'm still struggling why in a superhero franchise I'm expected to give a fuck about a normal, albeit well-trained, superpowerless human. Bewbs aside ofc.

    Captain Marvel (2019)

In Pattinson's defense, Di Caprio is unlikely to speak disparagingly of his time working alongside DeNiro in This Boy's Life, being directed by James Cameron in Titanic or Baz Luhrmann in Romeo & Juliet, or starring alongside some of the best living actors in The Man in the Iron Mask...

    Captain Marvel (2019)

Even if you discount actors such as Sigourney Weaver, Linda Hamilton, Joanne Whalley, Carrie Fisher, and Sandahl Bergman who all portrayed strong characters and not just man-haters with throw away edgy lines you can go further back and see the likes of Katharine Hepburn, Rita Hayworth, Lauren...

    Playstation 5

The games on the PS Store are always massively overpriced vs the hard copies from Amazon and other sellers. That's one of the things that would make me consider the less than pretty version with the disc bump. Sure, those games eventually go on sale but that extra $£€100 for the disc drive is...

    Cyberpunk 2077

The cybersnake mod in Hardwired was pretty nasty, if it made it to 2077 in its original form I'd be impressed.

DC Universe (Batman vs Superman thread).

Yup. Only niggle I have with that movie is how they handle Supes. Can't really see how else they could have removed such a damned powerful character though.

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

Maybe my server is a bad example but I find myself mainly healing on around 80% of the Duty Finder groups with the odd nuke/dot tossed in. It is a joy when I get a group with a tank whose health hardly budges and the deeps actively avoid AOEs. To be fair, I'm on AST at the minute so there's...

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

Thanks for the update. Would be welcome for them to release some early info on any planned class mechanic changes and whether they're aware of the overall healer discontent but a picture of a tank is always good. Hopefully it isn't locked behind their broken housing system.

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Autism reaches outer space

I used a maxed Scorpion on my Salarian Engineer in ME3 for so long, happy times. Decoy was just amazingly fun to use as a crowd control tool. If only half of the awesomeness of ME3 MP had found its way to Andromeda I would still be playing it now.

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Autism reaches outer space

We must have been playing different games. Taking ME2 as an example, you had an entire galaxy to explore, random little encounters on space hulks that weren't even central to the story, exceptional classes that were only expanded upon in ME3 and the online co-op in the latter is one of the most...

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Autism reaches outer space

This so hard. Also, looking at that leak, how am I supposed to be excited at the inclusion of the muppets responsible for ME:A being anywhere near an ME remaster? If by fluidity they mean diarrhea then yay I guess.

Petition a GM. Tell them it's a protected characteristic of your EQ gaming experience and your feelings will be hurt if they don't add an X on the end of the imposter's name. Oh, and copy and share the interaction please.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

I think one of my all time favourite games on the Atari was Vanguard. I mean, it plays the Hawkmen descending theme from Flash Gordon when you pick up energy cells and those colours... double rainbow!

Sleep deprivation and HATE pug carnage are all part of the nostalgia train. "Who touched the fucking walls?!"

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

The prequels were definitely braver. I mean, among other things, they had to redesign loads of tech for it whereas 7-9 just added a bit of rust to existing spaceships like the Falcon and gave the X-Wings and TIEs a paint job. Stylistically the prequels were far cooler. Shame the scripts...

    Playstation 5

I'd expect it to be $599. This often happens with US pricing, we have VAT over here remember. Look at a 1TB 12.9" IPad Pro for example, US price $1499 UK price £1469. Managed to miss Rhino's response, yeah, what he said.

Same. Little to no use on a pally for me though and I generally had a pocket cleric follow me around. Swim and Sense Heading were the two main ones I sought to max out early on. And Alcohol Tolerance for shits and giggles.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

Anyone who thinks ET on the Atari was the worst video game ever clearly never played it and certainly never played Jedi Arena. Or Empire Strikes Back for that matter. And that's only using examples in the Star Wars theme.

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

I regret never getting in to crafting early on, I think my experiences in FFXI probably put me off. Getting one craft to 100 in that game was utterly painful. Seems a fairly signficant task to get them up to 80 now but I'm sitting on 200k and have never really had much past 1 mil in the game...

Assuming they can get their servers working they should implement a 30 minute disconnect so you can all relive the nostalgic days of EQ on dial-up.
