New challenge leagues have been announced. To me these sound like the most interesting leagues there have been for quite a while.

From what they have said about it, modders will be able to put anything in, so you don't have to worry about MECs possibly not being in the base game. Mods will be able to add pretty much anything, new models and all that is needed for different units included.

That's just the way the interaction works. When Light has done it's heal/damage it checks if the minion is at full health. That happens before the minion dies so it spawns a lightwarden. It's the same way that for instance knife jugglers can kill stuff while being at zero health.
