Well, prior to seeing this I started by getting rep to friendly and unlocking WQs. Along the way I kind of just did questlines in the applicable zones and killed rares and found chests as I went. I thought I was doing alright. My ilvl was going up steadily, I was getting some azurite levels...

With the bonuses the leveling didn't slow down in Legion at all. I'm at 106 and not done with Highmountain questlines yet. I'll probably be 108 when I have to move to the second zone. I'll stick it out until I get to the BfA stuff and go from there.

Totally possible. I only saw 2 zones before I outleveled the xpac and diminishing returns forced me to legion. I saw most of Shadowmoon Valley and a very small bit of Gorgrond. They didn't look bad by any means but they also didn't ever jump out at me as anything special.
