I'll go ahead and mention that we're friends on PSN (Balzmir). Look at my playlog and determine for yourself if I play 'stagnant shit in a box'. You'll doubtless despise some of the niche shit in there, but you won't find: any Far Cry, any Ass Creed, any Madden, and CoD since MW3 or anything...

Rofl, I definitely didn't say I cared about revenue at all. I said minimal effort yields great revenue for a lot of developers, thus lesson-learning isn't terribly likely. Call of Duty and Madden spring to mind.

What lesson is that? That minimal effort, reused assets and yearly releases can lead to revenue that vastly exceeds in magnitude the public censure such practices invite? And i know ubi is having trouble, but it's not like you can't make a killing doing what they're doing.

100% agree. Not sure if Worst Souls is actually worst Souls, though. They're all incredible.

I don't really think WW1 makes for a great gaming experience. Malfunctioning tanks, trenches, barbed wire and mustard gas team-kills are very interesting to read about but don't make for the best gameplay. Although I guess it's a videogame so they can do whatever they want

This probably needs to go in the RPG thread, but the only thing I've ever heard anybody complain about consistently is battle speed. More specifically, the length of opponents' turns and the wait that requires of the player. I own it but havent played it yet.

About 7 hours to go and then I get to spend the evening with this game! I know Birthright is the the more casual of the two, but thus far it seems significantly harder than Awakening. Maybe I just forgot how to play

Been able to play about half an hour so far and it seems indistinguishable (minus dragon blood) from Awakening so far. Which is fine, becase that game is superb.

The censorship bothers me not at all, but I agree with the infantile dialogue. I dearly hope those excerpts posted earlier don't represent the bulk of the writing.

The one thing I do like about it is that you can get a lot of work out units otherwise considered mediocre. Have a horde of dark units you wanna throw at the opposing team and actually want a decent chance of winning against more powerful units? Lunaris shines as lead. Ditto Loch, Lava, for...

Turbo, just run through it a few times and you'll pick up everything you need to know. The rewards are said to be enormously beneficial to f2p players, but I just don't have time for it.

That's really interesting to me. There were two encounters in Souls/BB that required more out of me than I thought I could give. One was Ornstein and Smough, and the other was two or three mid-late BB levels in their entirety. Beat 'em both, obv.

I just hope the DLC is as expansive (and as often free) as what we got in awakening. I was late to the party on it - played it about a year ago - but I really loved the dozens and dozens and dozens of free maps that had all those recruitable charactes. And don't worry about frogs. When you see honor +80 for questing with friends, you'd be wise to head over to mistral and start, then quit the 3-energy quest repeatedly for lots of honor. Then wait until super honor summon and open the floodgates for dozens of crystals, gods, imps, jewels, burst...

Lol, Chrome most certainly isn't a waste. Well, maybe he is, but only on acount of impending unit releases, which is a vulnerability shared by almost every unit.

And by all means use Tridon. He's one of the bes units in the game. I've just never liked him as lead.

Imo, Bloodborne's levels are the hardest in the series but the bosses are the easiest.

I'm at work so I'll be brief, and I'll also preface that Ishad (not volunteering him) is the true squad guru around here. He keeps up with the meta and consistently blows me away with what he knows about the game, whereas I wait until I summon a unit, look that unit up and then see what fits...

I have and love Charla, but my best units tend to be the ones she clashes with. If I use her I can't use Chrome or Avani. The former simply has one of the best leads in the game and the latter has like 8k attack and a 35 hit sbb and a much better spark buff.

Also friend me (Balzmir, ID 7126197996). I'm running a leader unit that isn't a great lead for cutting-edge content, but it's the best in the game for general questing.

Griff and Libera are both solid subs, and I used them together for a good while. Honestly, until you get to a level that'll allow you to have a full party of 7* units, your priority is gonna be a spam-friendly leaderskill (status null is nice, too) and quest completion. When I came back I went...

Meta is really fucking annoying. They're releasing global exclusives with such frequency I really only ever summon on 10 + 1 events or temporary unit events and hope to pick up jp units along the way.

Anybody try FF Explorers? I know it wasn't reviewed particularly well, but reddit seems to love it. Hell, Gamefaqs - which is to my mind the bitchiest forum on the internet - seems to like it.
