Did EQ2 offer any kind of progression between expansions or was it just about leveling to the next tier as fast as possible, like WOW? I'm just kind of curious because I doubt I can play super hardcore and 16 weeks feels limited for an expansion, unless you go hardcore.

The classes were pretty interesting. Bureaucrat and Metaphysicist in particular were a blast. The skill system was a lot of fun too. Twinking in the earlier days could get wild with the right buffs. I might be checking it out for that nice little dose of nostalgia.

The reality is that even if they get this out, there is no way they will have enough content or a consistent enough content cycle to keep it interesting. MMOs take an ungodly amount of production time, staff, and money to work.

I played this on the Switch back when I was working remotely and it was fuckin great. Perfect Metroid throwback, and astonishing that it was made by one person.

Just the lack of any kind of distinctly memorable music that you would tie to a specific race. I do like the games music, though. I was just listing characteristics of a races identity. Variations in models, lore, music are what came to mind.

The "cartoony" look has far more charm to me than a generic unibody models that is barely reshaped across 6 bland races who have a total lack of distinction between them and all look like super models. Armor not properly fitting is something that doesn't bother me very much as EVERY game has it...
