D7100 is a fantastic camera, looking forward to your shots. Two old ones that never made the cut

This is what I'm thinking, the lens will work on the D7000 but the D800 is almost the equivalent of buying 2 lenses. I will get the lens first then in a few months, once I save, buy the D800.

Shooting with a D7000, most shots are with the prime lense, some with the 50 and the most recent ones with a 24-70 mm. The 24 is a full frame lens so I'm not optimizing it, a 70-200 and a D800 are just around the corner. Not sure which to buy first. The 70 is 2500 ish and the D800 is around 4K...

I recommend looking into Nikon's new series. The D3000 (550), the D5100 (600). D7000 (1K$), D5200 (800), and D3200 at 700. I don't know much about the other brand as I shoot Nikon, it wouldn't hurt to branch out but it is what it is. The prices I listed are new, I bet you can find some of...

No, you're right. Black and White is something new I am playing with and I have noticed that my shots tend to be more gray than white. I think its because I have the highlights too low and I should bring my blacks and shadows up a bit as well as reduce my Recovery and bring my Fill Light up.

You can fix up that exposure, its not that bad. I love the shot and the fact he matches the glasses. That and the fact that I can see whats going on behind you in the lens is pretty awesome.
