The Wire: Greatest Show Ever Made

I'm not upset. "Progressive" definitely feels closer than "woke" but tbh I don't think The Wire is very progressive either. Both progressive and woke have a political agenda. A political agenda presents a problem and suggests a solution. The Wire just kind of gives us a long, hard look at The...

The Wire: Greatest Show Ever Made

Failing to understand what "woke" is helps keep woke alive. People who call everything woke are as bad as the people who call everything racist. Edit: One of the great things about The Wire is it manages to address serious social issues with depth and honesty, without resorting to "wokeness."

FWIW I tend to agree that the crypto space will ultimately emerge intact (though probably changed) on the other side of these three issues. Your timeline of 2024 or 2025 might even be right. Also the "rocky days ahead" aren't necessarily a bad thing if you change your perspective. They are...

Friendly reminder that whatever crypto does this weekend, it's going to react strongly to whatever the stock market does on Monday. Right. The way I see it there three "issues" that have been looming above crypto for a long time. Each one of these issues will either be resolved and crypto...

You'll be a bag holder about exactly as long as you'll be a bag holder with BTC... Maybe less time if institutions keep valuing ETH above BTC as they have been.

Of course. Aside from the general shadiness of it, his wallets hold roughly 5% of the BTC that will ever exist.

We don't know who Satoshi was or where the entity named Satoshi went. We have no idea what projects he/they are involved with. Satoshi's wallet is still out there with a ton of bitcoins in it. Ethereum has its issues, but BTC has plenty of its own questions and concerns.

Honestly not sure. When the hashrate has dropped significantly before it had a big negative impact on price, but it's hard to tell how much of the impact was due to the hashrate reduction or the bad news surrounding it. China banning BTC mining is the example that comes to mind.

Apparently Kazakhstan makes up a really big portion of the Bitcoin hash rate and the government troubles there interrupted things and dropped the hashrate. Not sure how much mining goes on in ukraine, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was a decent amount...

This is actually pretty much exactly what I was seeing. Re: Quasimodo- I'm not sure a pattern has to be completely perfect to fit the paradigm. This is why I had my ETH buy at 2100. It wasn't set to catch the absolute bottom, but close.

I haven't parsed it, but I was under the impression that BTC has always been fairly influenced by stock market movements, especially negative ones. And the rest of the crypto market has always been influenced by BTC.

My personal buy limit is set up for 2100 for ETH, but it's a total gut instinct lowball. If we start to consolidate for a while I'll just snap it up at whatever it's at when it consolidates.

Clearly he didn't catch the absolute bottom, but if he bought at $3,333 he isn't too far off right now. If (when) it rebounds back to 4k+ I'd say he did nicely. IMO there's a 99% chance ETH goes back above 4k and well beyond- the only question is how long it takes to get there.

This is the long way of saying right now it doesn't exist. It's still very much in the "idea" phase. People are investing money in things that, at best, would be considered wild speculation.
