Yeah the problem is with streaming they don't have reruns. So no one is paying the studio every time a channel wants to air the show. That's how residuals are funded.
Kind of. It's about an average but really stubborn Game Warden in a small Wyoming town. The town lives on hunting etc. Corruption and bad shit happens in his territory.
So in those ways it's a lot like that. I'd say it's darker than Longmire though.
God is a Bullet. 3.5 out of 5 stars. Movie is fairly brutal and depressing in the beginning. A cops ex wife is murdered and his daughter is kidnapped by a cult of satanic lunatics. He is kind of a desk jockey and by no means some action star. He decides he has to get her back since the force...
Here is a good example from the show. They killed a state trooper friend of Raylans. Highly illegal but I think most would agree its fine to do to scumbags.
Bummer for actors. They are not going to get shit. He is also getting a cut because of his contract. Studios own the work in film and tv and these people were hired to bring something the studio owns to light. It's not the same as an author even if it's similar.
It's not how it is in film and tv either. Remember what a big deal it was for RDJ to get a cut of the Avengers? Or Jackson for LOTR? Neither studio was happy paying that out because it was so successful.
Davinici's family doesn't get a cut every time someone sees one of his works.
The old TV...
Don't pay residuals. You are not owed in perpetuity. Also don't let the studios use AI. Everyone is miserable and everyone is happy.
Turn them into wage slaves like the rest of us. Fuck em.
